🐾 Heat Relief in Action: Our Day Boarding Program at Work

With Las Vegas temperatures soaring, leaving a dog in a car ‐ even with the AC running - isn't an option. But for someone living in their car while still showing up to work every day, what choice do they have?

This week, we were able to help a man in exactly that situation. He lost his housing but hasn't lost his job or his dog. Our day boarding program gave him a safe, cool place to leave his pup while he worked his shift—no risk, no impossible choice between income and his dog's safety, until he can get back on his feet.

Housing requires pet vaccinations. We've got it covered.🏠🐾

Our community agency partners can help homeless clients into housing — but pets must be vaccinated first. Street Dogz pays for it, because no one should lose their shot at a home over a vet bill.

This is 4 year old Karli along with her owner Sarah. I provided Sarah dog food, treats, cooling supplies, spray bottle, umbrella and shoes.
My second stop was to meet client Shantel and Dymond. Shantel received soft food for Dymond and an umbrella.

Kintesha, a longtime client, was recently approved for housing, and we helped set her place up. She needed a tall set of stairs for the bed one of our volunteers purchased for her.

Thankfully, someone donated these stairs — and look at Papi go! Papi, the elder, & Lexus, the spry one. 🐾🥳🐶🤩

We have a Zeus update! 🐾

He was one of the four dogs you helped fund last month — thank you again for that! Zeus has moved from boarding into a cozy motel room with our dog sitter 😊 A better fit for him *and* a little easier on our budget.

We've reconnected with his owner, Caleb. He's going through a lot right now and isn't able to take Zeus back yet — but we're staying in his corner for as long as we can.

Zeus is safe, he's cared for... but he misses his person. 🐶💙

Your support made all of this possible — finding him, keeping him, and giving both of them more time.

💛 If you'd like to help continue covering Zeus's housing while we work toward a reunion, every little bit helps!

Note: The last picture is the one that was posted on social media. As you can see he was not as big as that picture - still a big boy though :-) we're working on that

Appreciation and gratitude to this team who does this twice a month, EVERY month for the pets on the street!🐾❤️🐾

June 2026 Care Complex complete! It was a bit slow today, but happy some of our clients left their pets in a cooler area. Dogs received dry/wet food, treats, toys, harnesses, leashes, shoes and cooling collars (we stopped giving out cooling vest) but the collars are great! 🐾✨ A Street Dogz/Catz LV First!** ✨🐾

Move over pups — there's a new bather in town! 🛁😂

For the very first time ever, a kitty has graced the Street Dogz tub at the Care Complex… and let's just say she came in and showed those dogs exactly how it's done!* 😼💅

Our fearless feline took her bath like an absolute BOSS and we are here for it! 🙌❤️

A huge thank you to the Care Complex for making this moment possible and for always welcoming our fur babies — all species included! 🐶🐱

This is what it's all about — making sure EVERY pet of our unhoused community gets the love, care, and yes… the BATHS they deserve! 🧼💦
