💛 UPDATE on Little Chrissy

Some of you may remember Chrissy — she was in her stroller when her owner was tragically hit by a hit-and-run driver on Las Vegas Blvd. 💔

Well, this girl has bounced back in the BEST way. She's now living with Janice, and comes to the clubhouse M-W-F. The second she knows Michele is in the clubhouse kitchen where the treats live, she's at that door scratching away like "I know you're in there... and I know what's in there too." 😆

She's lost some weight, but don't let that fool you — this girl is a straight up Roomba when it comes to food. Nothing hits the floor and survives. 🧹😂

Resilient, food-motivated, and thriving. That's our Chrissy. 🧡

Here’s Sasha, beating the Vegas heat 🐾☂️ Her pool + umbrella combo means real relief on days like this. None of this happens without our community stepping up — thank you for donating summer essentials like umbrellas, pools, spray bottles, and cooling collars that are keeping our dogs cool and safe. 💙

Dogs and cats received, wet/dry food, treats , toys, harnesses, leashes, bowls, potty bags, cooling collars and shoes. It felt like standing on the sun but our team powered through like rockstars, thank you John, Alex, Mike, Lynne, Stephanie and groomer Brandy.⭐️

Can’t sugarcoat this one…this sucks!🥵

If you see an animal outdoors and can hand out a water or two or an umbrella and anything that can cool them down it helps.

Savers, Goodwill, Opportunity Village Thrift and more sometimes have used umbrellas for a few dollars if you want to take a look.

If you have any umbrellas you want to drop off at the clubhouse let us know.

🥵 Vegas heat doesn't just hit people hard — it hits our street dogz too, and today's outreach is a perfect example of why.

Janice and Betty (a longtime volunteer who came back just to help more! 🙌) checked in today on Glenda, a previous Street Dogz client, and her 5-year-old dog Yodi. Glenda is currently unhoused and wants to bring Yodi into a cooling station to escape the heat, but Yodi has become fearful and reactive toward people, so extra precautions are needed before he can safely go inside.

We brought Glenda a crate, dog food, and a cooling scarf to help keep them both safer and cooler.

This is happening all over the streets right now — dogs need cooling gear just as much as their people need water and shade. We're low on cooling scarves/bandanas and umbrellas.🐾 If you have used umbrellas, we'll take them! 📦

🐾 Zeus Update! 🐾
Zeus is soaking up all the attention at The Clubhouse — game time, watermelon treats 🍉, and lots of love. He hasn't lost any weight yet, so we're keeping an eye on that.

We're still waiting on Caleb to come get him. He keeps asking for "just one more week," but The Clubhouse isn't a good long-term environment for a dog — Zeus needs a real home, not an extended stay. We're hoping for that pickup very soon! 🐶💕
