Las Vegas Police Protective Association The LVPPA is the largest police association in the State of Nevada. The LVPPA is the largest Police Association in the State of Nevada.

We represent the commissioned Police Officers and Correction Officers of LVMPD. We also represent The City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement Marshalls, and Municipal Court Marshalls. We are members of (NAPO) National Association of Police Organizations, (SNCOPS) Southern Nevada Conference of Police and Sheriffs, and the BIG 50 which is an informal association of the largest law enforcement associations in the United States. Congratulations to LVMPD Police Officer Craig Conover who recently retired after serving our community and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for over 22 years.

Today we honor our Brother,
Las Vegas Metro Police Officer Clark Anthony Wooldridge who died in the line of duty on August 14, 1979.

Clark was killed in a vehicle collision while responding to a call for service.

Clark was 22 years old and had been a cop for only 1 year. He was survived by his wife of 2 years.

Tomorrow (8-14-26) we will honor our brother, LVMPD Police Officer Austin Abdelnabi.

Services will be held at Central Church in Henderson at 1000 hours.

Expect travel delays as certain roadways will be temporarily closed.

Route:

1. 0900 hrs. Procession will depart Palm 1600 S. Jones.

2. North on Jones to US95 to I15 South.

3. South on I15 Exiting at Sahara east bound to LVBLVD.

4. South on LVBLVD to east bound 215

5. 215 east to US95 north bound to Russell rd.

6. East on Russell rd to Central Church.

Phil served our community and the LVMPD for 21 years.

Phil passed away on August 11, 2021, from COVID-19.

On August 4, 2026, Police Officer Austin Abdelnabi of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was killed in the line of duty.

Officer Abdelnabi responded to a person with a gun call in south east Las Vegas. When he arrived in the area, a savage armed with a handgun immediately engaged him in gunfire.

Officer Abdelnabi was shot and mortally wounded. The suspect then engaged a second officer in a gunfight. Thankfully that officer was able to send the scumbag to hell, shooting and killing him.

Austin was 30 years old and had been a cop for 3 years. In addition to serving our community, Austin served our great nation in the United States Marine Corps. Austin is survived by his wife, parents, and siblings.

For several years we have been honoring officers throughout the United States who have been feloniously killed in the line of duty. Sadly, today we honor one of our own.

8-4-2026 *Officer Involved Shooting*

Southeast Area Command. This afternoon a savage armed with a handgun engaged our officers in a gunfight in the area of Mtn Vista & Hacienda.

One of our officers was shot and mortally wounded. Thankfully another officer arrived on scene and shot and killed the scumbag who murdered his partner.

Investigators have been working tirelessly. There have been significant road closures and delays in the area.

We will provide updates in the days to come. Thank you to everyone in the community who have offered their support and prayers.
