Ayomikun Akinbote is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Foundations of Hospitality Management at the City University of New York. He has also earned an associate’s degree in applied science in Hospitality Management. She has experience in various hospitality roles, including customer service, food service, and tour management.
She holds a New York City Food Protection Certificate. She volunteers within her community and at hospitality industry events such as the International Association of Culinary Professionals and the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality in Brooklyn, New York.
Her long-term goal is to create her own experiential hotel brand in West Africa, developing hotels that are deeply rooted in West African culture while incorporating the innovation, standards, and practices of the global hospitality industry.
Ultimately, she hopes to raise the profile of West African hospitality and show how culture can be thoughtfully woven into modern hotel experiences. Her vision extends beyond building hotels to creating spaces where guests can connect with the region’s history, people, design, and traditions while experiencing high-quality hospitality.
