Why Moms for Liberty Matters for ALL Parents—Including Homeschoolers

Moms for Liberty is often seen as an advocate for parents navigating the public school system, but its mission is just as vital for homeschool families. Here’s why:

✅ Parental Rights Are Universal – Whether your child is in a public school, private school, or homeschool, parents should have the final say in their child’s education. Moms for Liberty fights for policies that protect those rights across all settings.

✅ Defending Homeschool Freedom – Many lawmakers push for increased regulation on homeschooling, threatening parental autonomy. Moms for Liberty actively monitors legislation to ensure families maintain the right to educate their children without unnecessary government interference.

✅ Community & Support – Homeschooling can feel isolating, but being part of a network like Moms for Liberty connects families with resources, co-ops, and like-minded parents who support one another.

✅ Advocating for Education Reform – Homeschool parents often see firsthand the shortcomings of traditional education. By working alongside other parents, they can help advocate for policies that improve education overall, benefiting all children.

✅ Fighting for Family Values – Homeschool parents are invested in preserving strong family values in education. Moms for Liberty amplifies the voices of parents who want an education system that aligns with their beliefs, whether in the classroom or at home.

If you’re a homeschool parent, your voice is needed just as much as any other. Join the movement and help protect educational freedom for all!

The new superintendent wants to keep kids in school longer, but let’s be real—this is a bad idea for Clark County.

• Less Family Time: Kids already spend hours in school and on homework. Taking away evenings means less time for family, church, and just being kids.
• Doesn’t Improve Learning: Studies show better teaching works, not longer hours. Finland has shorter school days and still outperforms us.
• Teacher Burnout Will Get Worse: CCSD already has a teacher shortage. Longer hours = more stress = more teachers quitting.
• Hurts Sports & Jobs: Many students rely on after-school jobs or activities. This would kill those opportunities.
• Costs More Money: Longer hours mean higher costs for CCSD and parents—without fixing real education problems.

Instead of keeping kids in school longer, let’s focus on better teaching, safer schools, and real academic improvements. What do you think?

Congratulations to Jhone Ebert – CCSD’s New Superintendent!

The search for a superintendent is over, and we congratulate Jhone Ebert on her selection as the new leader of Clark County School

Now the Real Work Begins!

As the Clark County School District has officially selected a new superintendent, marking a pivotal moment for our students, families and educators. As the fifth-largest school district in the nation, CCSD serves over 300,000 students across more than 360 schools. Strong  leadership is critical to ensuring their success.

As Chairwoman and Vice Chairwoman of Moms for Liberty - Clark County, we are here to hold leadership accountable and advocate for policies which put education over ideology, prioritize academic excellence and uphold parental rights.

We call on parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, school staff, elected officials, and community leaders to join us in this fight for better education.

The new superintendent must be willing to listen to all voices, work with all stakeholders and not limit community involvement. We won’t sit on the sidelines, we will be engaged, vocal, and persistent in demanding real change.

Now is the time to get involved. Join us in the movement to restore education and protect parental rights in CCSD.

IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE!!!
Nevada Moms for Liberty Chair Slams Senators for Failing Girls’ Sports
Las Vegas, NV – Yadusha Jones, Chair of Moms for Liberty Clark County and mom of four, is outraged that Senators Masto and Rosen voted NO on an amendment to protect girls’ sports by barring biological males from competing. “This is about fairness and science,” Jones said. “Our daughters deserve a level playing field—not stolen opportunities.”
Biological males retain physical advantages (muscle mass, bone density), undermining Title IX’s purpose. “Masto and Rosen chose politics over Nevada families,” Jones added. “If they won’t protect our girls, we’ll elect leaders who will.”

URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Oppose AB205 Now!
THE ISSUE: AB205 seeks to overhaul s*x education in Nevada public schools, switching from an opt-in to an opt-out parental permission model. This change strips parents of direct control by automatically enrolling students unless parents take action to opt out.
WHY IT MATTERS:
❌ Undermines Parental Rights: Replaces active consent with passive enrollment, sidelining parents.
❌ Reduces Transparency: Obscures what children are taught and when.
❌ Clashes with Family Values: Disregards the diverse religious and moral beliefs of Nevada families.
CRITICAL DEADLINE:
The Assembly Education Committee will review AB205 on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 1:30 PM in Room 3138. We must act swiftly to protect parental authority and our children’s well-being.
WHY OPPOSE AB205?
The current opt-in system empowers parents, ensures accountability, and respects individual values. AB205 hands control to the government, eroding these principles.

Vote NO on AB205!

The U.S. Department of Education announced it has terminated over $600 million in grants to institutions and nonprofits that were using taxpayer funds to train teachers and education agencies on divisive ideologies.

Training materials included inappropriate and unnecessary topics such as Critical Race Theory; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI); social justice activism; “anti-racism”; and instruction on white privilege and white supremacy.
Additionally, many of these grants included teacher and staff recruiting strategies implicitly and explicitly based on race.
The grants are awarded to teacher preparation programs that train future classroom teachers. Examples from the grant applications included:
• Requiring practitioners to take personal and institutional responsibility for systemic inequities (e.g., racism) and critically reassess their own practices;
• Receiving professional development workshops and equity training on topics such as “Building Cultural Competence,” “Dismantling Racial Bias” and “Centering Equity in the Classroom”;
• Acknowledging and responding to systemic forms of oppression and inequity, including racism, ableism, “gender-based” discrimination, homophobia, and ageism;
• Building historical and sociopolitical understandings of race and racism to interrupt racial marginalization and oppression of students in planning instruction relationship building discipline and assessment;
• Providing “targeted practices in culturally relevant and responsive teaching abolitionist pedagogies and issues of diversity in classroom management”; and
Providing spaces for critical reflection to help educators confront biases and have transformative conversations about equity.
