Hearts Alive Village is a 501c3 nonprofit which operates 2 low cost vet clinics, a Cat Cafe, foster/adoption programs, veteran support services, a veterinary forensics program and much more. Mission: To nurture a compassionate society where pets are supported in their homes and on their journey to find a home

Hearts Alive Village is centrally located in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada, and was f

ounded in 2013 because of an intense need to help save dogs and cats that were losing their lives in an overcrowded shelter system. We learned early that our priority for building resources should target preventing animals from entering the shelter in the first place. We offer several supportive services to families such as a pet food and supplies bank, rehoming for pet owners who have passed away or are unable to continue to care for their pets, training resources, temporary boarding for those experiencing a housing crisis or hospital stay, and low cost spay/neuter. Our most recent resource is an affordable veterinary clinic for families struggling to access care with payment options that fit their budgets for those who cannot qualify for conventional credit.

Our adoptable pups Buttercup, Gaucho, and Mello have been having the best time enjoying their goodies, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible support of our community. 🥹Meet sweet Mindy who was saved in the nick of time - foster needed & donations🥹

Mindy is a very sweet 6 year old girl who came to us from a local city shelter. She appears to have been hit by a car and had a commitment date. When they were at capacity for care for her, our very own Laura rushed over to pick her up after a bumped deadline. Of course Mindy was an unspayed, unmicrochipped stray, and nobody came to get her. She has a fractured ulna and will need strict cage-rest. Her poor wounded foot must have been so painful. She is now receiving daily hydrotherapy and laser therapy and is expected to make a full recovery!

Meet Penny ❤️ This beautiful two-year-old girl is the perfect mix of adventure buddy and couch potato.

She loves walks, playing in the water, enjoys the company of other doggy friends, and also loves to sit by your side on the couch while you relax. Penny is also currently looking for a hybrid foster home while she waits for her forever home. 🏠

✅ She loves kids, she is fully housebroken, crate trained, and is an all around very easy-going girl!

UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!!!

Some hearts just take a little longer to find the right person. ❤️

Count Rugen has been waiting since early March, and we’re hoping his forever family is just around the corner.

At almost 5 years old, Rugen is a cat who knows exactly what he likes. He’d love to be your one and only pet, where he can soak up all the attention (and all the Churu treats). With his adorable extra toes, love of catnip, and playful side that comes alive with wand toys and climbing his cat tower, he’s full of charm in his own unique way.

He’s not the biggest fan of being picked up, but he enjoys gentle pets, being hand-fed treats, and spending time with people who respect his boundaries. All he’s asking for is someone who understands that love looks a little different for every cat.

His birthday is July 26 (yes, he’s a Leo… and it definitely shows), and we’d love nothing more than for him to celebrate this year’s birthday in a home of his own.

Count Rugen would do best as the only pet in an adult home or one without young children, where his big personality can truly thrive.
