One Team. One Day. Double Duty.

On July 29th, the Nevada Homeless Alliance team had a full day of learning, service, and community connection.

We started the morning completing CPR training, strengthening the skills our team can use to respond when someone in our community needs help.

Then it was time to switch gears! Later that day, our team hosted an On-Site event at The Salvation Army, connecting our neighbors with resources, services, and support.

Days like this highlight the dedication and versatility of our team. Whether we're participating in training, providing resource navigation, working alongside our community partners, or meeting our neighbors where they are, our team continues to show up and get the work done.

A special thank you to Jessica, our Resource Navigator, for capturing and sharing these photos from our CPR training.

We're proud of this team and the many ways they continue to learn, serve, and support our Southern Nevada community.

🤝 Meeting People Where They Are

Last week, during our event at Three Keys, members of the MORE Team Las Vegas reached out to us about an individual who needed help obtaining vital documents.

The individual wasn’t comfortable coming to the event, so Jessica and Ari did something simple but important: they went to them.

They traveled to the location where the individual was staying, brought hygiene supplies and other items from the event, and most importantly took the time to make a connection.

That first conversation led to action. The needed documents were ordered, and the relationship didn’t end there.

Jessica will continue following up and working with this individual as they move through the next steps.

We’re keeping their identity private, but we’ll continue sharing pieces of this journey as it progresses—because sometimes the work begins with paperwork, but what makes the paperwork possible is trust.

Outreach means meeting people where they are literally and figuratively. 💙

Community Partnership in Action at 3 Keys Communities

On Wednesday, August 5, Nevada Homeless Alliance joined our community partners at 3 Keys Communities for a day of connection, resources, and direct services.

Together, we served 46 guests, with 63% of those served experiencing homelessness. Throughout the event, guests were connected to housing resources, domestic violence advocacy and shelter services, medical and mental health support, birth certificate assistance, resource navigation, hygiene items, food, Narcan, vision support, and more.

A huge thank you to 3 Keys Communities for welcoming us into their space and continuing to collaborate with us to serve our community. 💙
We also want to recognize our incredible community providers and volunteers. Events like this are only possible because people show up ready to share their time, expertise, resources, and compassion.

And a special thank you to one of our valued sponsors, Caesars Entertainment, for supporting the work of Nevada Homeless Alliance and helping us continue bringing resources directly into the community.

When organizations, providers, volunteers, sponsors, and community members work together, we can meet people where they are and make meaningful connections to services.
