Yesterday marked an energizing first day of Lottery Forward: Research, Innovation & Responsibility, hosted by the ICRG Lottery Research & Education Fund in partnership with Brightstar.

Day one brought together researchers, lottery leaders, clinicians, and responsible gambling experts for timely conversations on lottery-related harm, evidence gaps, youth gambling, data and AI, early identification, and the evolving responsible gambling landscape.

Thank you to our day-one speakers for sharing their expertise and helping move this important conversation forward:
- Carrie Bartels Stroud, CPA CPM, Hoosier Lottery
- Michelle L. Malkin, JD, PhD, East Carolina University
- Nathan D. Smith, PhD
- Jennifer Jiyun Park, PhD, Yale School of Medicine
- Piyush Puranik, PhD, University of Nevada, Las Vegas
- Kasra Ghaharian, PhD
- Kevin Winters, Almond Digital Health
- Don Feeney

We are also grateful to our sponsors, whose support made this event possible:
- Brightstar Lottery
- Hoosier Lottery
- Pollard Banknote Limited

As day two continues, we’re grateful for the thoughtful discussion, collaboration, and shared commitment to advancing research, innovation, and responsibility in the lottery sector.

Tribal leaders, operators, and community members-we see you 👋

We know your focus is on your people, your sovereignty, and the long-term strength of your communities. Responsible gaming is part of that conversation, but it shouldn’t feel complicated, burdensome, or like “one more thing” on your plate.

At ICRG, our goal is simple:

➡️ Provide research and insights you can actually use
➡️ Support community wellness
➡️ Do it all without adding operational stress or heavy lifts on your team

No backend changes.
No complicated systems.
No disruption to what you already do well.

Just a straightforward way to show your commitment to responsible gaming and protecting your communities.

We’re here to listen, learn, and build real partnerships with Tribal Nations.

If you’re part of a Tribal gaming organization-or care about the future of Tribal gaming...we’d love to connect. Follow along, join the conversation, and let us know what matters most to you.
