Our speaker today is District 46 District Governor, Lion Terry Rubald

“Being a Lions District Governor is a lot like being the family dog: everyone expects you to visit every club, show up with a smile, solve everyone’s problems, and somehow you’re still supposed to be happy about it!” 🦁😆

Lion Terry Rubald of the Carson City Host Lions Club serves as the 2026–2027 District Governor for Lions Clubs International District 46, representing Lions throughout Nevada and the Eastern Sierra region of California.

Terry has been an active leader in Lions for many years, serving in a variety of club and district roles and demonstrating a strong commitment to community service. Her Lions involvement has included leadership with the Carson City Host Lions Club as well as district-wide service projects and programs.

Prior to becoming District Governor, Terry served as 1st Vice District Governor. During that leadership year, she reported on the state of District 46, which included 50 Lions clubs and more than 1,100 members. (E-District⁠)

Terry has also played an important role in the Lions International Peace Poster Program, serving as the District 46 Peace Poster Contest Chair. Through this program, she has worked with Lions clubs, schools, students, artists, and community organizations throughout Nevada and the Eastern Sierra to encourage young people to express their vision for peace. Her service also includes work supporting Lions’ longstanding commitment to vision and eyeglass recycling. District 46 highlights Terry’s involvement with the Nevada Prison Eyeglass Recycling Program, a collaborative effort that provides job skills while helping process donated eyeglasses for people in need.

As District Governor, Lion Terry Rubald continues the Lions tradition of “We Serve,” working with clubs across District 46 to strengthen membership, support community projects, promote leadership, and advance the humanitarian mission of Lions Clubs International.

Our regular LV Host Lions Club meeting for today, October 6, 2026, will begin with lunch service starting at 11:30am at the:
Ahern Hotel 300 W Sahara Avenue Las Vegas, NV 89102

The meeting is the Official Meeting of our District 46 District Governor, Terry Rubald and the meeting will be in held in the Vita Bella W**e Room located on the 2nd floor, so if you follow the walkway from the elevators look for the chocolate shop and you will find the Vita Bella room next to the chocolate displays.

Joi Thompson serves as the Programs Manager for Project 150, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students throughout Nevada. In her role, Joi helps coordinate programs that provide students with essential resources, including food, clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, and other services that help them remain in school, graduate, and build brighter futures.
