Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants NAPA is dedicated to the advancement of its members and the PA profession through academy support, education, public awareness and legislative action.

GOALS
To enhance the profession by developing collegial relations with other healthcare professionals
To promote the value of the physician assistant profession through public awareness
To protect the physician assistant through legislative action and reform when necessary
To encourage collaboration with supervising physicians and other professional colleagues to provide medical care in a variety of practice settings
To encourage networking and the sharing of knowledge and opinion among the Nevada PAs
To promote the development of Nevada PAs by sponsoring quality continuing medical education

Happy National PA Week to the more than 200,000 PAs practicing across the U.S. trusted, rigorously educated clinicians who strengthen healthcare in every specialty and every setting.

Since the profession’s start in 1967, PAs have become essential to patient‑centered, team‑based care, providing over 620 million patient interactions every year and expanding access for communities nationwide.

Educated at the master’s level, trained with 2,000 hours of clinical rotations, and committed to lifelong learning through ongoing CME and recertification, PAs continue to elevate health outcomes and transform the future of medicine.

Happy National Physician Associate Week to the dedicated PAs at Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center.

Behind every uniform is a story of sacrifice, family, and resilience. From primary care clinics to the operating room, PAs at Nellis diagnose, treat, and prescribe across every specialty. They keep our warfighters medically ready and make sure military families and veterans receive world-class care.

Over the past year, PAs cared for 4,196 beneficiaries at MOMMC. Their impact goes beyond the exam room: the medical center hosts clinical PA student training and advanced fellowships in emergency medicine, orthopedics, and surgery and critical care. These PAs are shaping the next generation of military PAs.

✨Happy National PA Week.

October 6–12 is for the physician associates who diagnose, treat, prescribe, and stay with patients from the first visit through follow-up — in clinics, ERs, ORs, and rural towns that would otherwise wait longer for care.

The date is not random. October 6 marks the 1967 graduation of the first PA class at Duke. Nearly six decades later, PAs are still expanding access to care.

To every PA and PA student: thank you for going beyond.💕
