Senior Home Assistance And Repair (S.H.A.A.R.E) Senior Home Assistance And Repair (S.H.A.A.R.E) is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization assisting and contributing to the safety of senior citizens

S.H.A.A.R.E was founded in 2002, Detroit, MI by U.S. Army Veteran Paul Moore to raise funds to assist senior citizen homeowners in the community who needed help. S.H.A.A.R.E was relocated to Athens, GA in 2009 and was immediately overwhelmed with requests for assistance from senior citizen homeowners. Paul Moore was encouraged by the community to develop a Volunteer Program called the S.H.A.A.R.E

for Athens Program to assist low income senior citizen homeowners. S.H.A.A.R.E believes with community service assistance we can contribute in keeping our older citizens safely independent, our neighborhoods beautiful, and our city communities progressing.

Meet The Amazing Miss Alicia. She is one of the wonderful seniors in the local Las Vegas area. She has been a homeowner for 45 years and continues to enjoy a wonderful comfort of living. Senior Home Assistance and Repair (S.H.A.A.R.E) was approached by the Martin Luther King Junior Senior Center in hopes of giving Mrs. Alicia some assistance with removing some larger trees and branches in her front yard. The MLK Senior Center Director Byron Goins coordinated the project and stopped by to meet us and say hello to Mrs. Alicia. The effort was extremely rewarding and these are exactly the type of projects that can bring the community together and give SHAARE the opportunity to expand our helping hand.
