The Las Vegas Blues Society is an Affiliate of The Blues Foundation and is a registered 501c3 non profit charity organized for the purpose of promoting and preserving the blues music genre. The Board of Trustees meets the 1st Tuesday of the month virtually via Zoom, at 6pm. The LVBS SoulBelly Jam will be dedicated to our dear friend and fantastic drummer. Jim Lovgren, who passed away last week. Jim was the longtime drummer with host band the Shuffle Aires, and played this jam countless times. To say he will be missed is a massive understatement. He leaves a great legacy as a musician, and more importantly, as a human being. Saturday 7/11, 2-6pm. A link to a fundraiser for his family is in the comments below. Come celebrate our brother in the best way we know: through the music.

The Las Vegas musical community has lost a truly great man, a cornerstone of our world. He was a great drummer but more than that, just a stellar human being. Rest In Peace Jim Lovgren. You will be missed. Our love to his family, thank you for sharing him with us 💔
