Tonight was our "Greenspokes" social evening held at Don DeMarco's Pizzeria and Winery on W. Charleston. Eric Colvin and Tom Novotny gave great presentations about our scholarship programs and our RYLA/TLC programs. All kinds of pizza, salad, chicken fingers, meatballs, and, of course, libations of your choice were enjoyed by everyone. Thanks so much to Bruce MacKenzie and Lori Clarke for organizing a fun evening. The full album of pictures has been posted to our website.

Dr Jim Nyamu from the Rotary Club of Juja in Kenya visited our club today. Dr. Jim is walking 3,700 miles from California to New York to raise awareness about poaching of prized elephants in his country. He is a well known activist. We were honored to have him as a guest!

At our Monday meeting we presented Brad Stewart with a check in support of his classroom reading program for special education students. This school year the students will read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the funds will help the students visit Ethel M Chocolates in Henderson. The visit will help the students learn about real world chocolate making as they read the book! Our club is happy to support Brad!
