One Simple Act Movement helped fund an Outreach Program in Mandaluyong Philippines held on March 27, 2025 benefiting over 200 persons with disabilities, senior citizens, single parents, street sweepers, and barangay tanods. We sincerely thank our Philippine partner, Abot Kamay ni Padre Pio for making this possible and for allowing One Simple Act Movement to be part of this selfless endeavor. We also thank our donors and volunteers for their generous contribution and support.

Bulacan, Philippines - December 6, 2024 - the One Simple Act Movement (OSAM), in partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines- Bulacan Chapter (IBP), successfully facilitated the third round of Drug Dependency Examinations (DDE) as part of their ongoing Mission for Justice Outreach Program. The Mission for Justice Outreach Program, which was officially formalized in a signed MOA between OSAM and IBP on June 11, 2024, has been making strides in supporting Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), particularly those who have served their time but still require rehabilitation to re-enter society.
A Special Case: Two Pregnant PDLs
The recent DDE session was particularly notable because two of the detainees were pregnant, one was nine-month pregnant, expected to give birth this month. Despite their condition, she underwent the DDE as part of the ongoing efforts to meet the legal and rehabilitative requirements for reintegration.

Through our partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (Bulacan Chapter), we are helping them take vital steps toward reintegration into society.This milestone is not just a legal procedure—it's a pathway to redemption, hope, and a brighter future. This initiative that helped approximately 2,000 residents of Tondo, was made possible through the collective efforts of Abot Kamay Ni Padre Pio, a humanitarian organization focused on providing assistance to marginalized communities, its partners, volunteers and the ONE SIMPLE ACT MOVEMENT. Their partnership demonstrates the power of collaboration in achieving a common goal of improving the lives of the marginalized and creating positive change within communities.
ONE SIMPLE ACT MOVEMENT is deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program and we hope that this Christmas Outreach brought hope and joy to many. “We look forward to continuing our mission of service in the coming year and we are committed to helping more communities in need”.
This event is just one of many that both organizations plan to hold in the coming year. As they continue their efforts, they invite other community groups, businesses, and individuals to join in and make a difference, one simple act at a time.
