🎨✨ Yesterday’s DSOSN Art Painting Class had us painting three starfish on the sand… and wow, those little guys are harder to shape than they look. We tried — but our minds just drifted to the beach, bright blue skies, warm sand, and the sea breeze we wished we could feel. 😉

Big thanks to Ms. Susan for her patience, creativity, and guiding us through the starfish struggle with a smile.

💚🌿 The DSOSN Cool‑21 crew took over Springs Preseve today — and what a day it was!

For some members, it was their first time exploring this Las Vegas treasure, and the excitement kicked in the moment we arrived.

From Dino Safari to the botanical garden, the Nevada State Museum, and a fun trolley ride around the grounds — our members were all smiles. They also got to experience the Flash Flood exhibit, watch the Miracle in the Mojave video, and explore so many more hands‑on displays and hidden gems throughout the Preserve.

Every stop brought new discoveries, laughs, and “wow” moments. And the staff? Friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating — they made the whole adventure even better.

Days like this remind us how much joy there is in exploring our community together.

Cool‑21 adventures just keep getting better. 💚✨

💙🌊 Last night’s rehearsal felt like we officially dove under the sea.

The performers finally got to work with our incredible props — the glowing under‑the‑sea corals, King Triton’s majestic chair, and the ship that brings the whole adventure to life.

Seeing them move through scenes with real props brought a whole new level of excitement. Suddenly, everything looked and felt like performance night. The energy, the focus, the joy — it’s all coming together piece by piece.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. takes the stage July 19 at The Orleans.
