In honor of National Multicultural Donor Awareness Month, we would like to highlight a selfless team member who serves heroic donors’ loved ones by supporting their journey through grief. Meet Nevada Donor Network’s Bereavement Program Consultant, Champagne. She is a community healer, grief support professional and mental health advocate. Having navigated her own mental health challenges since her teenage years, Champagne understands the importance of feeling heard, seen and supported during life's most difficult moments. As a widow and mother of two daughters, she has transformed her personal experience with grief into a purpose-driven mission to help others find healing, hope and resilience. Champagne does this through peer support, sound healing and therapeutic art. She creates meaningful opportunities for connection, recovery and self-discovery. Champagne truly enjoys serving Nevada Donor Network’s mission as a bereavement program consultant for the aftercare program. She helps connect families and individuals with free grief resources, including support programs for adults, caregivers, children and teens. Passionate about both community care and mental health, Champagne encourages others to learn more about organ, eye and tissue donation whenever she has the chance. Champagne truly believes in the profound impact one decision can have on individuals, families and entire communities. Are you inspired by the work Champagne is doing?
