Sierra County deputies report jet skier safe after being knocked unconscious in accident:

Sierra County Sheriff's Office
Sierra County deputies say they responded to a jet ski accident at Stampede Reservoir early Monday morning.

The operator was thrown from the jet ski and knocked unconscious.

First responders say they were wearing a life vest, which allowed them to stay afloat until they woke up.

They are reminding everyone that life jackets prevent deaths.

They ask everyone to make sure they are wearing a properly fitted one before recreating in the water.
