GOBBLE GOBBLE GIVE has activated inside the Larger Topanga community and along with other teams and incredible people, is actively providing life saving supplies, support, food and clean drinking water to those in need.

Earlier this week, as the Pacific Palisades fell to an immeasurable and unimaginable monster, a group of amazing citizens amassed in the Topanga Canyon. These people were experienced Event Coordinators, CEO's, Fast Food Attendants, Burners, and just local folk that refused to believe what was happening, or that nothing could be done. Together they created triage stations in fire zones to receive and distribute much needed supplies to fire teams and citizens that had stayed behind.

They created several google docs to keep track of 'supplies needed' and 'supplies offered'. Literally thousands of people viewed, added to, and took from these documents. It was a logistical Rubik's Cube. I have never seen so much stuff get moved around. It was so impressive. It got very hectic at times but the system worked. People got stuff when they needed it most. A document was created that allowed displaced families to find free homes for immediate shelter. (One group stayed with me for a night). A group of us cut and cleared logs for fire crews, evacuated people, and rescued trapped and abandoned animals. Current count 4 cats, 2 dogs, 3 roosters, and 10 chickens. ( We almost got the 2 pigs but someone beat us to it. Darn it ). We got the call for a Python today... we passed. We installed water lines and pumps to access pools and ponds. And in the end, we prevailed. But there is much work to be done.

As the fires move into other areas the long process of rebuilding Greater Topanga begins. Utilities will most likely be out for weeks in some areas. We are offering generators, fuel cans, Propane tanks, portable stove tops, and fresh drinking water to people in the effected area. That is the GGG Mission for the month of January. If you can help us achieve that goal we, as always, are so very grateful.

For those of you who always support us financially I need to say it, "We don't take asking for money lightly". You do so much for the homeless community each holiday season and it's always so appreciated. It is really an honor to be your choice when supporting philanthropic causes.

I was behind the fire lines for the better part of this week. I saw a lot. Living through the Malibu fires, some of it was very emotional for me. This entire week I saw people at their very best. Simply amazing Humans. No political differences. Ne grievances. No gripes. Some have called these people heroes but I prefer to just call them human.

What a week it has been.

As I write this from my apartment in Venice Beach drinking warm tea and taking long showers, many people are still out there, in the cold, organizing, delivering, and tirelessly answering the call for help.

Gobble Gobble Give is dedicated to providing assistance and funds to these beautiful " humans" in their effort to provide safety, warmth, and food to those who need it most. they simply could never do it without you.

ATTENTION ALL VOLUNTEERS OF LAS VEGAS GOBBLE GOBBLE GIVE.

WE ARE EXTREMELY EXCITED TO HAVE ALL OF YOU JOIN US THIS YEAR!!!

Below is the basic information for those who are coming the first time.

Please take a look at our map. It should visually explain the footprint and outline of our event.

For the early birds who want to help set up:

We arrive at 8am on Thursday morning at the Llama Lot 152 N 9th street across from Atomic Liquor and we start unloading 2-3 large box trucks filled with tables, chairs, signs, etc.

Volunteers are asked to then layout all items onto the lot according to the map attached to this message
(This usually takes about 30 minutes.)

We then assign Team Leaders, who want to take on the role and help with areas such as giving information, helping with traffic flow, and answering general questions about the event.

Volunteers that have been to the event before are perfect for this role, as it is a large lot and can seem super chaotic from the outside for the first time, and it is, but there Is a Plan and there is Structure. (DM me if that you!!!)

At the same time as volunteers are unloading. Our team will be setting up stations, food trucks will be arriving and other areas of the event will be setting up.

If you arrive and don’t know what to do just reach out to a volunteer with a badge and they will help out.

This is a perfect opportunity to get to know Neighbors your community amd beyond.

We highly encourage Volunteers to reach out to as many other volunteers as they can, and come together and make this another incredible experience for everyone.

Doors to public open at 9am.

We have the wonderful Host of ceremonies, Walking Bear, open up the event with a ceremonial blessing.

We serve food from 9am-5pm

During serving we ask our volunteers to separate the donations such as canned food, sides, main dishes, etc.

We have a donation drop off area drive through for those who want to just drop off donations or/and then park after.

There is No Parking inside of the lot.

There is plenty of parking around the property. Just watch out for any no parking signs. DONT LET YOUR CAR GET TOWED. BE MINDFUL OF THE PARKING SIGNS.

This event is 100% made by everyone’s contributions and efforts so we have no employees that we can lean on, so we ask you all to roll up our sleeves and help clean up as we go along.

I can’t explain how important is is to help with cleaning and sorting items as that’s what keeps us going.

We make a count of how many meals we make collectively.

We also have a clothing area where guest can find clothes they want and the volunteers help sort it out.

And we have Free Haircuts.

WE ALWAYS NEED MORE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO HELP WITH CUTTING HAIR!!!

Last, but certainly not least we ask for volunteers to stay around or come at the end of the day to help strike.

We NEED HELP TO PUT EVERYTHING BACK AWAY INTO THE TRUCKS BY 5pm and make the place look like we were never there. ITS A MIRACLE EVRY YEAR.

Come anytime from 8am-5pm.

Stay as long as you like and jump in wherever you like!

We are the largest potluck event in town and do it with a very very small team of people here and every little bit helps.

We are hosting a

GGG 2023
Sign Painting Party on November 22 Wednesday from 2pm -7pm behind the Fremont Country Club at 601 Fremont Street.

This is an all age event.

We are making signs and they can be made from recycled items such as warped plywood, cardboard. We will repurpose it and turn it into art.

Bring some paint, or some wood (we can cut on site), cardboard or just your friends and come help make signs for our event. We will be loading up our trucks full with donations as well so if you like to drop off anything early that is the place and time to do so.

We are grateful to have all of you continue to support what we do.
