โHi, my name is Ava Grant. Iโve been riding since I was 6 years old and have stayed with my first barn, Aspen Hill Farm, training under Judy Nielson. Horses have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up loving Jessie from Toy Story and dreamed of having a pony of my own. When I was 9, my parents got me my first pony, Silver Dollar, and thatโs where everything really began. Today, I compete in the Amateur 1.20s with my current horse, Nespresso V.V.
Riding has carried me through some of the hardest moments in my life, including the loss of my dad. My pony helped me stay grounded during that time and kept my passion alive. Outside of the barn, Iโm a freshman at UNLV studying Business Administration with a focus in Marketing. I also work part-time at In-N-Out and do pet sitting to help support my riding, which has taught me a lot about responsibility, time management, and commitment.
Being selected as a CDP Foundation scholarship recipient this year means so much to me. It has given me access to mentorship, opportunities, and experiences I wouldnโt have had otherwise. Iโm incredibly grateful to the foundation and its sponsors for supporting riders like me as we continue working toward our goals.โ
Thank you to , , and for your continued support as well as , and for making it all happen. Additionally the amazing sponsors whom donate their time, energy and products for all Top Ten Scholars.
