Trust is the backbone of our community, but right now, that trust is being tested.

The ACLU of Nevada has officially petitioned the Nevada Supreme Court to review the Metro-ICE 287(g) pact. This agreement allows local police to act as federal immigration agents, and let’s be clear: it’s a direct threat to the safety and unity of Las Vegas. When people are afraid to call for help because they fear deportation, we all lose.

At National Action Network Las Vegas, we believe in One Standard of Justice. That means justice doesn’t depend on where you were born or what your status is. Local law enforcement should be focused on protecting our neighborhoods, not doing the work of federal immigration authorities.

Dr. Robert D. Bush and the entire NAN LV team stand firmly with the ACLU and our immigrant brothers and sisters in this fight. This is a critical moment for civil rights in our city. We won’t stop until every member of our community can feel safe and respected by the people sworn to protect them.

Let’s keep pushing for a system that builds trust, not walls.

Justice isn’t just about the time served: it’s about the person who emerges. We’re standing with Rickie Slaughter and the urgent movement for criminal justice reform in Nevada. ✊🏾

Rickie’s story is one of incredible transformation. From an inmate to a powerful author and justice advocate, he has proven that redemption is real. Now, he’s leading the charge for the ‘Second Look Act,’ a vital piece of legislation that allows Nevada to reconsider lengthy sentences for those who have truly changed.

At National Action Network Las Vegas, we fight for one standard of justice. Over-sentencing doesn't make our streets safer; it breaks families and ignores the human capacity for growth. It’s time to move toward a system that values restoration over just retribution.

Rickie belongs in our community, not behind a wall. His voice is needed in the fight for a fairer Nevada. Let’s bring him home and pass the Second Look Act. Join the movement.

Clark County rolling out Cybertrucks as police vehicles isn’t about “innovation” or “sustainability”, it’s about corporate giveaways and police militarization.
Our executive director, Laura Martin, put it clearly, “seems like they’re designed for intimidation and not safety."
At a time when our neighborhoods need investments in housing, healthcare, and real community safety strategies, Clark County is choosing to funnel public dollars into luxury tech toys.
