Yes, I checked it out because I wanted to make sure it was real before I shared it with you. It is.

If you're an undergraduate, graduate, or vocational/technical student, take a look at the requirements and see if you qualify.

Clark County, in partnership with local cities and government agencies, will host a Public Service Career Fair on Thursday, September 10 at the Las Convention Center.

Attendees can meet face to face with recruiters from more than 40 local government entities to ask questions and learn about the application and hiring process for a wide range of public service careers, including information about public-sector benefits. Job seekers are encouraged to register in advance through the Public Service Career Fair website at https://bit.ly/careerfair091026.
The career fair will feature four short “Career Talks” sessions presented by participating local agencies. These sessions cover public service careers, job postings, resume essentials, and STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result.) interview techniques.
Walk-ins are welcome on the day of the event. Parking and admission at the Convention Center are free. A list of participating agencies and a full schedule is available on the event flyer.

As children across the Las Vegas Valley get ready to head back to school, Sunrise Children’s Hospital is hosting a free bike helmet giveaway this Tuesday to help promote bicycle safety.

The event will take place Tuesday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at ER at Boulder’s Edge, 1501 Wagonwheel Dr. in Henderson.

The first 50 children to attend will receive a free bike helmet. Families will also have access to professional helmet fittings and bicycle safety education from trauma and injury prevention specialists to help ensure helmets are worn correctly.

The giveaway is being held in partnership with Sunrise Trauma, Safe Kids Clark County and WheelZen Rides as part of a back-to-school safety initiative.

Helmets are available on a first-come, first-served basis for children under 16 and are intended for non-motorized bicycles. Children must be present to receive a helmet.
