What an absolutely amazing night Pride on Paradise 🥹🌈

We want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth last night to say hello, show your support, and, most importantly, shower our pups with SO much love! 🐶💕

It was a night filled with love, pride, acceptance, and so much joy! Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces as they met our bulldogs truly filled our hearts. Our pups have been through so much in their lives, and watching them bring happiness to so many people is something we’ll never get tired of. ❤️

We also loved having the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people, share our passion for rescue, and spread awareness about the challenges bulldogs face in our community. Every conversation, every cuddle, and every opportunity to educate someone about rescue means the world to us.

Events like these remind us that rescue is about so much more than saving dogs. It’s about community, compassion, connection, and spreading love wherever we can. 🐾

We are still desperately searching for foster homes for Biscuit and Tookie!

Both boys are currently being fostered by Amanda, the President of our rescue, who is having surgery next week. We NEED to find them somewhere to go while she recovers!

🏡✨ ADOPTABLE: HAMSTER ✨🏡

It’s Hamster’s turn to find his FOREVER HOME! 💛

Hamster is approximately 2 years old and quite possibly the cutest, squishiest little blonde boy we’ve ever seen. 😂😍 Seriously… THAT FACE.

Hamster was found as a stray on the streets of Las Vegas and taken to the shelter. We actually tried to accept him into rescue before he ever made it there, but Animal Control had already been called—so we made sure we were there to get him as soon as he became available. 💛

Since entering foster, Hamster has been doing INCREDIBLY well and is officially ready for adoption!

His foster says Hamster would love to be inside your skin if he could. 😂 He LOVES following his person around and being your little shadow, but he’s also perfectly happy relaxing by himself. He is sweet, cuddly, playful and truly just a sweetheart at his core.

Evidently, we don’t know how to say no, guys. 💔

We’re at an impasse. Our rescue is meeting this weekend to make some very difficult decisions about our future because this is becoming far too much.

Donations recently gave us a little relief with vet bills and supplies, and we are SO grateful. But the need never stops. For every dog we accept, there are at least twice as many we have to turn away.

Low donations. Slow adoptions. Very few foster offers. Rising veterinary costs. And an endless stream of dogs needing somewhere to go.

It’s defeating. It’s draining. You save one life and KNOW you changed that dog’s entire world—but when you step back and look at the bigger picture, it can feel impossible to believe you’re making a dent. There is no end in sight.

And yet… here we are again. 😭

We were contacted about 3 dogs found together. Attempts were made to find their owners/placement with no luck. They were staying outside with access to a pool, and with another hot day coming, we weren’t comfortable leaving them there.

So our hero Aleisa picked them up last night. ❤️

🐾 A tiny young merle female English Bulldog, possibly the puppies’ mom.
🐾 A chocolate female bully, approximately 6 months old—VERY sweet and dog friendly.
🐾 A lilac male bully, approximately 6 months old, who appears to have an orthopedic issue with a back leg.

All 3 need exams and vaccines ASAP—over $200 just to start. The male will also need X-rays, likely adding another ~$300.

🚨 WE URGENTLY NEED FOSTERS for the chocolate female puppy and English Bulldog.

In TWO WEEKS we have accepted SEVEN dogs. Amanda has surgery October 14 and already has dogs needing foster placement. Aleisa will be helping during her recovery and now has FOUR new foster dogs herself.

We cannot sustain this. 💔

🐾 WELCOME OUR NEWEST ADDITIONS! 🐾

We posted looking for fosters but unfortunately weren’t able to find them. So Aleisa and Amanda stepped up, despite already having full houses, because we knew these dogs needed to be safe. ❤️

🧡 CHEETO is our 11-week-old bully puppy, currently with Aleisa. He was surrendered because he has an umbilical hernia his family couldn’t afford to repair. He’ll have it repaired when he’s neutered. He’s doing amazing—sweet, dog-friendly, well-rounded and absolutely adorable!

💙 TOOKIE came into rescue yesterday and is currently with Amanda. He’s a BIG 40-lb boy and supposedly a full Frenchie…although we’re not totally convinced. 😂 Whatever he is, his long, heavy, low-rider body is perfect.

Unfortunately, both of Tookie’s ears are in terrible condition. 💔 We see this far too often—ear infections and allergies left untreated until dogs are painful and we’re fighting an uphill battle with severe infections and sometimes polyps. He has a vet appointment Wednesday to see exactly what we’re dealing with.

Despite his ears, Tookie is a JOY. He’s quiet, easygoing, dog-friendly and loves people. ❤️

🚨 WE NEED FOSTERS FOR TOOKIE & BISCUIT!

Amanda is having surgery October 14th, so we MUST find somewhere for them to go before then. Biscuit, our 16-week-old pittie puppy, is also doing incredibly well and is an amazing little guy!

In a very short time we’ve taken in Biscuit & Gravy, Cheeto and Tookie—and the medical bills are adding up.

🚨 EMERGENCY. PLEASE DON’T SCROLL. 🚨

As always… we are trying to slow down intake. Times are tough. Money is tight for everyone. We understand that. We’re feeling it, too.

But somehow, the need just NEVER seems to end. 💔

Yesterday, we desperately wanted to pull a dog from the shelter. We weren’t able to take on much, but we were able to accept a puppy we posted earlier.

And then we were contacted about THIS six-year-old Frenchie. 😭

Please look closely at his ear. We know it can be difficult to tell from a video, but this is NOT just a “bad ear infection.”

He has a severe ear infection with significant swelling and drainage, and there is concern that an abscess or deeper infection may be developing behind/around the ear. Deep ear infections can spread into surrounding tissues and, in serious cases, infection can extend toward the structures surrounding the brain. He needs veterinary attention IMMEDIATELY to determine how deep this infection has gone and to prevent it from becoming life-threatening.

We WANT to help him. We NEED to help him.

But we cannot commit to bringing him into rescue without funds to get him safely to the vet, treated, boarded and closely monitored while we make sure this infection is under control and isn’t spreading further.

🚨 FOSTER NEEDED STARTING TOMORROW — LAS VEGAS 🚨

We’ve been contacted by someone looking to surrender an 11-week-old bully puppy with an umbilical hernia, and we’ve agreed to take this little guy into rescue. 🐶💙

Now we need a local Las Vegas foster starting TOMORROW!

This baby will need to be neutered and have his umbilical hernia repaired ASAP, likely within the next week. Because of that, we need a foster who has the space and ability to keep a puppy confined while he heals after surgery—even when he’s feeling better and absolutely does NOT agree with those restrictions. 😅

We’ll provide a pen, food, supplies, support and ALL medical care. His foster will need to provide transportation to our vet for surgery and follow-up care, and we’ll work with you on scheduling. 🏥

We also want to update everyone on yesterday’s $5 Friday. We raised $338. We are incredibly grateful for every single donation ❤️, but unfortunately, that amount isn’t anywhere near enough to take on the serious medical cases we continue seeing at the shelter. We also received ZERO foster applications yesterday.

Special-needs and high-medical dogs are our cup of tea. We WANT to save the underdogs. We WANT to help the IVDD dogs and those with serious medical needs caused by neglect. But right now, with adoptions slow, donations even slower, and fosters desperately needed, we simply cannot responsibly take on dogs who may require thousands of dollars in medical care or be harder to place.

Until we have more fosters stepping up and enough funding to support these cases, there will unfortunately be dogs at the shelter needing major medical care that we cannot save. 💔

🚨 PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND LOOK AT THESE FACES. 🚨

This is what we are facing every single day.

The first four dogs in this post are currently on the “transfer list” at the shelter, with commitment deadlines. One deadline has already passed — yesterday at 3 PM. 💔

And honestly… it’s becoming harder and harder to fathom what is happening in our own community.

Dogs are being dumped, abandoned, neglected and surrendered. Dogs who are old. Dogs who are sick. Dogs with allergies, stomach issues and serious medical problems. Dogs who were bred and bred and bred, only to end up with health problems that were never properly addressed.

And now they’re sitting in a shelter, with their lives potentially ending simply because they need more care than someone is willing or able to give.

These dogs don’t deserve this.

Our hearts always tell us to help. To pull them. To give them a chance. To say, “We’ll figure it out.”

But the reality is that saving them costs money. Sometimes a LOT of money.

We’ve made OVER 500 miracles happen, and it is incredibly hard for us to sit back and watch dogs in our own community continue to end up on these lists.

So today, on Five Dollar Friday, we’re asking our village to come together. ❤️‍🩹

💔 101 DAYS. 14 WEEKS & 3 DAYS. 💔

That’s how long Mama has been waiting for her forever home—with very little interest.

Mama came to us as a breeder surrender with her mother on June 20th. Her mom has since been adopted, but somehow, 101 days later, Mama is still here.💔

We know her biggest obstacle: Mama needs to be the ONLY PET in her forever home. Many of the applications we receive for her include other dogs, despite this being stated in every post.

But we receive applications all the time from wonderful homes without other pets…so where is Mama’s person?! 😭

Because LOOK AT HER. 🥹 Mama is an absolutely adorable black & tan fluffy Frenchie with the shortest little legs and stockiest body imaginable. We are OBSESSED with her. 🖤

Mama is:
🐾 Extremely people-friendly
❤️ A total cuddle bug
👧 Good with kids
🥰 Affectionate and eager to please
🏡 Doing wonderfully with home life

Mama is currently fostered around other dogs and will occasionally enjoy playing with her foster brothers. She isn’t a dog who loses her mind seeing another dog on a walk. But Mama is dominant and wants her person, her space and her things to herself.

We want her next home to truly be FOREVER, so we are firm: Mama must be the only pet in the home.

Her incredible foster has spent 101 days loving her, working with her and helping her adjust to life as a beloved family dog. Now Mama deserves a family of her own. 🥺
