This is Keith, the world is full of good people like him.

I went to the gas station tonight to purchase a gift card, and make some videos about ways that we are helping those whose are affected by cancer. After purchasing this card I went out to the pump to film the video. I was not aware of it at the time, but Keith who works at the gas statstion and literally checked me out, had come outside right behind me and heard me recording the video. When I was done he came up to me and handed me the full amount of money that I had put on the card.

I was so touched by this good man. If you would be willing, now through the end of Jan we are raising money to GIVE THE GIFT OF GAS! the cost of transportation can be so debilitating yet required for the life saving treatment that cancer requires. It is our goal to raise $10,000. This amount will give 100 families, $100! Please consider donating to this important cause.

Added to my collection yesterday.
I was driving yesterday when a lady passed me rocking some serious stickers on her car. We were pulling up to a red light i thought it would be a perfect opportunity to jump out and give her a wrist band. So i jumped out of my car, and as i went to go give it to her the light turned green, AND she turned into the grocery store parking lot.
So i sped up and turned around to see if i could track her down, luckily i got a glimpse of what she looked like cause by the time i found the truck she was already parked and had almost made it into the store.
I pulled up next to her, and asked if i could give her my wrist band. She immediately REACHED THROUGH MY WINDOW and gave me the biggest hug! We spoke for a few minutes as she told me about her son who she lost to cancer. It was a beautiful exchange as she gave me a wrist band that was given to him!
I obviously REFUSED to take such a sacred token, but she assured me she had more. I’m not sure why but as we left each other she told me “this was perfect timing” ITS ALWAYS THE PERFECT TIME TO SHOW LOVE AND COMPASSION!
There are people all around us who A, are GOOD PEOPLE, the world is full of them if we would stop for a moment and take interest in the strangers next to us we would realize that good far out weighs evil. B, there are many many people who have been and are affected by cancer. Who are FIGHTING who are, WARRIORS who are HURTING, and who can experience a moment of healing and relief just by being noticed and listened to. Not only are they healed, but us too!

What an amazing weekend i had at the basketball tournament.
Our family felt truly blessed to not only be part of the half time recognition as a family that is fighting but i also felt blessed to be invited by Comprehensive Cancer Center of Southern Nevada to be a part of their booth to spread the message of the
I passed out thousands of wristbands to game goers in an effort to spread awareness and start the conversation of the needs and support required for caregivers and family members of those with cancer.
What a great experience and a blessing to be in contact and touch so many people

Cancer has a massive impact on every member of every family effected!
One of the effects that may not come in as one of the most thought about, may also be one of the most impactful! How does it relates specifically to “mixed families” (step parents/step kids) and what if something were to happen to the “connecting link?”
Heavy and hard things to think about, BUT also a very real possibility and something that is healthy to consider and talk about.

I feel so blessed to be able to participate in this, and to have the opportunity to spread this message.
To open up the conversation, to help others feel ok, and comfortable with their pain. That it’s ok to need help.
One thing people have said over and over is that in their suffering they remain quiet, because they don’t want to take away from their family members who have cancer.
While this is totally understandable, it is totally backward thinking.
If you’re in an airplane, and the oxygen masks drop, who do you put it on first?
If your family is hungry, hungry for food, hungry for love, hungry for connection, hungry for health, hungry for mental wellness, hungry for ANYTHING how can you provide that which you do not have.
Our families NEED US, and they need us to show up as the best versions of oursleves.
This is the message of the wielding warrior project.
