Did you know the current survival rate for many childhood cancers, including some pediatric brain tumors, is 0%? Stats like this are why the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's work continues.

We’re halfway through September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and there is so much left to do.

Important 2021 Starry Night Walk Update:

Thank you so much for being a part of the Starry Night community – supporting families through every step of their journey and changing the outcome for children, teens and survivors. Over the past several weeks, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation has been closely monitoring conditions across the country to evaluate the safety of hosting this year’s Starry Night events in-person.

In consideration of the latest information about current COVID-19 variants, we have made the difficult decision to transition all 2021 Starry Night Walks to a virtual-only program. The safety of patient families, volunteers, community participants, and staff are our highest priority, with medical experts advising that the pediatric brain tumor population, including adult survivors, are at an elevated risk for severe COVID-19 disease.

We know Starry Night is a meaningful way for Star and Eternal Star families and the PBTF community to come together, and this decision is not one that we make lightly. Visit https://buff.ly/33cmS66 and select your local or My Starry Night community page for ways you can continue to participate on October 2 by safely walking in small groups in your neighborhood and tuning into our virtual Starry Night lantern-lighting (ceremony details to come).

Thank you for your understanding of this difficult decision and your continued support of Starry Night. The work PBTF is doing today is possible because of you. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].
