🐾 MEET GUNNER! 🐾

Gunner is a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix and a quiet, sweet old soul looking for his special someone. ❤️

Gunner may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, he loves attention and affection—on his terms, of course! 🥰 He would do best as the only dog in the home, although he can get along with some small dogs and is selective about his playmates.

🏡 Gunner is looking for an active, adult-only, experienced home that understands his personality and will give him the time and patience he needs to feel comfortable.

Soar free, beloved Jackie
❤️ 🦅

In memory of Jackie, the beloved bald eagle of Big Bear Valley whose life gave so many of us a window into the wonders of the wild.

Through nest cameras placed by Friends of Big Bear Valley and Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam, millions around the world came to know Jackie and her mate, Shadow. We watched them tend to their nest, welcome eaglets, and weather snowstorms and losses. This resilient pair helped shine a light on the importance of protecting our shared wild places, and inspired a remarkable and successful effort to preserve vital habitat in the San Bernardino National Forest.

If you've been moved by Jackie's story, we encourage you to honor her legacy by supporting wildlife and conservation efforts in your local community and beyond.
