Shaq-to-School is back! 🎉

Yesterday, we teamed up with Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada to bring the fun to the Andre Agassi Boys & Girls Club along with kids from the James Boys & Girls Club. 260 backpacks filled with school supplies were donated to BGCSNV and Communities In Schools of Nevada, and the kids showed up and showed OUT. Carnival games, great food, dancing, and T-shirts designed by BGCSNV's very own youth made it a day to remember.

🚨 FREE TEEN EVENT - LEVEL UP SUMMIT

Parents, if you're looking for something positive, educational, and inspiring for your teen this summer, don't miss the Level Up Summit!

The Clark County Parks & Recreation G.I.T. (Gap Intervention Team) Program and Commissioner Tick Segerblom, in partnership with the LVMPD Office of Community Engagement, Clark County Family Services, the Department of Juvenile Justice Services, and The Shaquille O'Neal Foundation, invite teens ages 13–18 to join us for a day of empowerment, resources, and motivation.

LEVEL UP SUMMIT
🗓️ June 5th at 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍Winchester Dondero Cultural Center — 3130 McLeod Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89121

This FREE teen summit will include:
- Motivational speakers
- Real conversations about life, choices, and success
- Resources for teens and families
- Giveaways & swag
- Breakfast & lunch provided
- Parent Workshop offered while youth participate in their sessions, providing valuable resources, information, and tools to help support their teens

Congratulations to Shaquille O' Neal on earning his Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts from his alma mater, Louisiana State University (LSU). 🎓

During the ceremony, Shaq shared words of wisdom that inspired everyone in the room:

✨ Continue to be kind, humble, and help those in need.

A big thank you to the NBA Summer League team for touring our site yesterday and spending time with our incredible CORE participants and trade students. Your visit meant a great deal to our community.

We also appreciate the sweet surprise—delicious treats courtesy of Pinkbox Doughnuts that brought plenty of smiles to the day! 🍩👏

In celebration of Read Across America Week and Nevada Reading Week, our team spent time reading with students at Wendell P. Williams Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada.📚

✨This annual initiative promotes literacy and encourages kids to get excited about reading. Every book has the power to open a new world of imagination, learning, and opportunity.

This year’s summit highlights innovative approaches to education and mental health through community partnerships. Dr. Morris Hibbler will discuss learning beyond the classroom and how collaboration creates lasting support for students.
