🖖 USS Windrunner Mission Log: Away Team Deployment

Stardate: April 11, 2026

The USS Windrunner dispatched an away team to the FIRST Nevada Las Vegas Regional Robotics Competition at UNLV following an invitation from FIRST Nevada to assist and observe.

Upon arrival, our officers encountered a concentrated assembly of emerging engineers and innovators engaged in the construction and operation of early-stage robotic systems. The away team conducted inspections of multiple engineering bays, observed competitive trials on the primary field, and initiated contact with younger cadets presenting foundational technological projects.

Analysis indicates exceptionally high levels of ingenuity, collaboration, and problem-solving capability among participants. These individuals demonstrate the core principles valued by Starfleet: curiosity, cooperation, and the relentless pursuit of knowledge.

We extend our sincere thanks to FIRST Nevada for the invitation to volunteer and for their continued commitment to fostering the next generation of explorers, engineers, and leaders.

Conclusion: This civilization’s technological future shows strong promise. Continued observation—and encouragement—is recommended.

Starfleet officers from the USS Windrunner will be deploying an away team to the FIRST Nevada Regional Robotics Competition this weekend at UNLV!

We’re excited to explore this incredible gathering of innovation, ingenuity, and future-forward thinking. From the engine rooms (a.k.a. the pits) to the competition floor, we’ll be observing, encouraging, and celebrating the brilliant minds pushing technology to new frontiers.

Creator Gene Roddenberry (US Army Air Corps) as well as some of the cast of the original series (James Doohan (Canadian Army), DeForest Kelley (US Army) and Leonard Nimoy (US Army Reserve)) are some of the notable members of the Star Trek Family who served their countries with distinction.
