Transwomen 4 Transwomen is an accredited 501 c(3) non-profit, charity, advocacy organization created for TRANSGENDER WOMEN, their rights, freedoms, needs and essentials. Transgender women exist in virtually all populations, from small towns to major metropolitan areas, struggling to survive while facing discrimination, violence, stigma and outright rejection at various degrees. Dependent to her resources, opportunities, geographic location & general acceptance to her trans identity, her determination and courage to stand and struggle, some transgender women are trapped -from the very bottom, in the very shadows of darkness, isolation and seclusion, to moderate interaction and exposure, to full exposure and interaction EVEN equality, equal opportunities, equal treatment to transgenders as a group is far from being achieved and remains as an unattainable utopic realm. In the long term, only major cultural shifts of tolerance, acceptance and love coupled with effective advocacy, legislation and enacted of federal laws will guarantee protective rights and freedoms for transgender women. At the present time, this organization, given our limited resources, we focus only on western States if the U.S. We divide our resources so to serve and protect the vulnerabilities and basic needs - survival assistance of our group members and to our community as a whole AS WELL as we invest in education, advocacy and legislative agenda.
