What if joy is something we can learn, practice and strengthen? 💙

At our August Community Exchange, Andrew Cannon will share how emotional intelligence can help children build resilience, belonging and joy.

Andrew is the co-founder of EQJOY Co. and founder of the Art and Science of Joy. Drawing on years of studying human emotions and behavior - as well as his lived experience with depression - he helps children understand and manage their emotions while encouraging adults to create more joy-filled lives.

Join us Wednesday, August 26, at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom.

Say hi to Erika! 💚 Alongside Lyeanne, she serves as Co-President of the Hope Means Nevada Club at West Career and Technical Academy and is part of the Teen Hope Network’s Social Media Executive Team.

Erika wants to help create a community where students feel seen, understood, and supported - especially when the pressures of high school become overwhelming. Through HMN, she hopes to remind teens that their feelings are valid, support is always available, and it’s okay to take life one day at a time.

Erika believes that the most beautiful flowers often go through the heaviest rain, just as our challenges can help us grow and bloom. 🌧️🌸 Outside of HMN, she loves exploring cafés, drinking matcha, taking photo-booth pictures, and shopping! 🍵📸🛍️

The strongest version of you isn’t someone who never struggles. It’s someone who can hold seemingly opposite truths at the same time. You can still have insecure days and love yourself. Feel overwhelmed and keep growing. Want things to work out while trusting you’ll be okay either way. That’s not contradiction. That’s emotional maturity.

Give us a follow so you don’t miss the next one!💌
