On World Sickle Cell Day, we recognize the strength and resilience of those living with sickle cell disease and raise awareness about the critical role blood donors play in their care. ❤️🩸

Many individuals with sickle cell disease rely on regular blood transfusions to help manage complications and improve their quality of life. By donating blood, you can help ensure patients have access to the lifesaving treatments they need.

Join us in supporting the sickle cell community by learning more about the importance of blood donation and scheduling an appointment to give blood at RedCrossBlood.org.

We’re grateful to the partners who helped support Golconda residents after the recent fire and power outage. ❤️

Thank you to Golconda School for opening its doors as a cooling center, Empire CAT for providing portable generators to help restore power, and the Golconda Fire Department for supplying smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms.

We also appreciate our partnership with Humboldt County emergency management as we worked together to support the community.

If you need help with fire prevention or want to sign up for a free smoke alarm installation, visit SoundTheAlarm.org/Nevada and redcross.org/HomeFire.

Today, we honor two powerful symbols of our nation's strength and unity — the U.S. Army Birthday and Flag Day. ❤️🤍💙 Since 1775, soldiers of the U.S. Army have served with courage and dedication to protect our freedoms, while the American flag stands as a symbol of the values and resilience that unite us.

The American Red Cross is proud to support service members, veterans, and their families every day through our Service to the Armed Forces programs, providing emergency communication services, support during deployments, assistance for military caregivers, and resources for the military community when they're needed most.

Join us in recognizing those who serve and the flag they protect.
