With so many new faces in our community, I thought it was the perfect time for a little reintroduction!
Hi everyone! I’m Shaii ("shy"). I’ve been a military spouse for 11 years. My husband and I met in college in the Philippines, where we were both born and raised, and together we’re blessed with two beautiful children and a life shaped by military adventures.
I’ve joined my husband in 4 different stations—Okinawa; Tokyo-Japan; Hawaii; and now Las Vegas, which we’ve called home for the past 2.5 years. Every place has been a different chapter in our story, and each one has shaped us in its own way. I’ve also been serving as a coordinator with Deployed Love Nellis for the last 2 years, and it has truly become such a meaningful part of my life here.
A little about me: I love anything vintage and colorful, especially pieces that feel like they carry a story. I’m big on music and dancing too, and my kids definitely got that from me because where there's music, they'll dance! My playlist is a mix, but emo and early 2000s alternative rock are my go-to’s, with a little jazz here and there.
I recently got back into reading again this year, especially thriller, horror, and crime novels. I’m also a sporty kind of gal, slowly finding my way back into being active again while balancing motherhood, work, and everything in between. I love traveling, discovering new places, and trying new restaurants, I’d honestly say I’m a foodie at heart.
I also work for our family business and have a remote job from home, so my days are a full mix of family, work, and community life.
Outside of Deployed Love, I own an event planning and styling small business. I’ve always loved creating meaningful, beautiful experiences for people, and that passion for events is actually what first led me to Deployed Love.
Through Deployed Love, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with amazing military spouses and families, supporting each other through deployments, celebrating our military kids, and helping create a space where people feel seen, supported, and understood.
My husband was recently deployed last year, so I truly understand how heavy and challenging that season can be. It gave me an even deeper appreciation for what so many of our families go through, and it strengthened my heart for this community even more.
What I love most is watching strangers slowly become familiar faces, and then becoming people who genuinely show up for each other, especially in the hardest seasons when community matters the most.
Military life isn’t always easy, and I’ve learned that having people who just get it makes all the difference. I’m grateful to be part of something that helps create that kind of space and connection.
Thank you for being here, and I’m so excited to continue growing, serving, and meeting more of you in this amazing community! ❤️💙💖
