We're officially less than 50 days away from Camp Pride Tree 2026!
Camp Pride Tree is important because it gives LGBTQ+ youth something many of them rarely experience: a space where they are not just accepted, but fully affirmed. At camp, young people can simply be kids, laughing, playing, exploring who they are, without the constant pressure to hide or explain themselves. That sense of belonging and lightness is not trivial; it’s foundational to healthy development and well-being.
For many campers, it’s the first time they meet others like them and see LGBTQ+ adults living full, joyful lives. That connection interrupts isolation, builds confidence, and offers a vision of a future where they are safe, loved, and thriving. Camp also creates lasting relationships and chosen family networks that extend far beyond a single week.
Because Camp Pride Tree is completely volunteer-run and committed to removing financial barriers, it ensures that access to this kind of affirming, life-changing space isn’t limited to those who can afford it. It is a community-driven effort rooted in care, visibility, and the belief that every young person deserves to feel they belong.
