He is finally healthy enough to come home...forever with Mike(my boyfriend) and myself(Adria)
Here is his story directly from LFF, we are forever grateful to those that helped Eddie and we will use this FB page to keep everyone apprised of his progress and life! In late August we were lucky enough to find a foster in order to save a mother pit bull and her ten 2 week old puppies from the governme
nt run shelter. They were in foster until they were all fixed and old enough to leave their mom. They returned to the shelter this past Tuesday since they are officially old enough to be adopted and we instantly noticed that there was one puppy that wasn’t doing well. We immediately took him to Camino Al Norte Animal Hospital (they were great!!) and Dr. Valera suspected a genetic condition called Persistent Right Aortic Arch (PRAA) http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2096&aid=870
His suspicions were confirmed by the radiologist and we were referred to Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center (i can’t even tell you how impressed we are with them!) We had a consult with the surgeon Dr. Geels and were advised that Eddie needs to have surgery as soon as possible. UPDATE:
Ed did great in surgery, and everything went exactly as planned! Overnight – “no news is good news.” He will be spending the night in the ICU with a chest tube, and we will receive another update in the morning. As long as everything goes well, they will remove the chest tube tomorrow, he will spend the night in surgery recovery, and be discharged on Wednesday. We will update everyone with any and every bit of information we get! We absolutely cannot thank everyone enough for their concern & support for us and our strong little man ♥ Thank you everyone that donated towards Ed’s procedure and for all the well wishes and kind words. We hope to update soon with new pics of this strong little guy getting fat and even stronger! From all of us at LFF, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!

Eddie is loving his new home and new couch, since he officially likes it better than his cuddle bed. Eddie's 2013 goals: to perfect his manners in preparation for the Canine Good Citizen test, learn DOGA(doggy yoga), go to the beach, and become a Therapy Dog!
