HHS-OIG just released two reports: one of the reports found that the three largest Medicare managed care companies in the U.S. denied enrollees long term & rehab hospital care at some of the highest rates. Fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend Memory Cafe this morning. As a case manager patients and their families rely on me for referrals, resources and recommendations. I feel it’s important to be familiar with what you are sharing with others. Thank you to Stacey, Karen and Alyce for allowing me to see the program in action. The program started off as a social, support group and question and answer session led by Stacey. Next, Karen guided us through an art lesson. Everyone had fun, the conversations continued and art was created. Alyce made sure that everyone was greeted, felt welcomed and made a new friend. The event rotates amongst assisted living facilities, however is open to the community. You just need to RSVP.
