Today is National Law Enforcement Su***de Awareness Day.

Law enforcement officers carry an incredible amount of responsibility, and sometimes an incredible amount of pain that isn’t visible to the people around them. Today, we remember the officers and their families who have been affected by su***de, and we recognize the importance of creating a culture where asking for help is met with support.

To every officer who may be struggling: you do not have to carry it alone. And to the families who have lost someone, your loved one is not forgotten.

Congratulations, Basic Law Enforcement Academy Class 942! 🎓

Today, we celebrate Class 942 as they graduate from WSCJTC headquarters in Burien and take the next step in their law enforcement careers.

Over the past 19 weeks, these recruits have built the skills, knowledge and judgment needed to serve Washington communities with professionalism, accountability, and integrity.

To every graduate: Congratulations on this milestone and the work it took to get here. We wish you success as you return to your agencies and begin the next chapter of public service.
