This FREE, family-friendly event will feature a competitive kickball tournament and grill-off between Clark County, LVMPD, CCFD, and VAREP, along with a car show featuring more than 60 vehicles, games, activities, and a special ceremony recognizing the 25th anniversary of September 11.

🚨 ACTION ALERT: Veterans’ earned benefits should never be used to pay for other veterans’ benefits.⁠

Competing versions of the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act (TCAVA) were blocked in the Senate, but the fight isn’t over. The VFW strongly opposes any proposal that would reduce future VA disability compensation to fund expanded benefits.⁠

📣 Now is the time to make your voice heard. Tell Congress to remove the harmful pay-for and protect the benefits veterans have earned through their service and sacrifice.⁠

August 10 is Agent Orange Awareness Day. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that 2.6 million veterans have been exposed to Agent Orange, but there other studies indicate that the actual number of veterans exposed to Agent Orange is much higher. Today, the VA has recognized certain cancers and other health problems as presumptive diseases associated with exposure to Agent Orange or other herbicides during military service. Veterans and their survivors may be eligible for benefits for these diseases.
