Homeless person found dead (possible heat stroke/hydration) last night as West Flamingo Park is taped off by the hockey rink and skatepark. Little over 2 years ago CCSD locked up neighboring facilities the basketball and tennis courts that Kenny Guinn Middle School shared with the park. As the facilities got locked up, more homeless have arrived and taken over the park. Neighboring gas stations and wendys (now out of business) were getting sodas stolen.

The June 9 primary narrowed that down to the two following candidates, who are now set to face off in the Nov. 3 general election. Clark County Commissioner propose another short term rental ordinance going around a federal judge ruling by banning the website companies such as airbnb from collecting payments from unlicensed short term rental owners. This has been a controversial issue between private property rights and flooding neighborhoods with vacation homes that bother neighbors. speaks their side of the story. One of our favorites who just came short in the primary is not going anywhere. Katrin "Mrs. Fix It" speaks against the data center proposal. This proposal has been getting opposition from both sides from what we've been seeing at the county commissioner meeting.
