The Las Vegas chapter of the National Bar Association extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Richard Dreitzer. We join the broader legal community in mourning the loss of a dedicated leader, advocate, and ally.

Richard’s legacy as President of the State Bar of Nevada was marked by his unwavering commitment to professionalism, civility, and inclusive leadership. Throughout his career, Richard was a steadfast supporter of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and he consistently championed policies that uplifted underrepresented voices within the legal profession. His thoughtful approach to leadership and his belief in the power of dialogue and collaboration made him a valued partner to our chapter and many others.

Richard was more than an ally—he was a friend to the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Bar Association. His support for our mission and programming helped foster a more equitable and representative legal community in Nevada. We are grateful for his contributions and will honor his memory by continuing the work he so passionately supported. May his legacy inspire us all to lead with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to justice.

Services will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday, September 26, at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery at 2697 E. Eldorado Lane in Las Vegas. Shiva will be held following the service and on Saturday, September 27.
