We meet for breakfast and ride in parades to celebrate the heroes of our great nation. When WWII ended, the brave men, many that volunteered and those that were drafted, came home and tossed their dufflel bags into the corner of the closet, put on their "civies" and went to work. They worked hard, raised families and were productive citizens of their community. They NEVER asked for any recognition
for saving the world. 60 years later, the WWII Memorial is finally dedicated. These brave men and women are now in their late 70's, 80's and 90's and cannot make the trip by themselves. They will never have the opportunity to see their memorial without help. We provide the opportunity for them to have one last mission, a mission with honor to put some closure on something that most WWII veterans have buried deep inside their souls since the end of the war. We provide a guardian (who pay their own way) to help the veteran. The guardian will assist the veteran and make sure that veteran wants for nothing. Many veterans of Honor Flight return home and describe it as the most fulfilling time of their lives because they now have closure, they know their sacrifices were not in vain because this country remembers. Please help send our Southern New Mexico veterans to see their memorials.
