EXCITING NEWS
FOR
YOUNG LIFE LAS CRUCES
I know it's been a while since there has been a new post on this FB page. But there is news to share and it is EXCITING!
Over the last 4 months I have been working closely and prayerfully with regional Young Life people to determine what are to be the next steps for Las Cruces YL.
We have discerned together, that in order for the program to move forward in a meaningful way, it will be necessary to hire a Young Life College Director who will work primarily with students at NMSU and develop a volunteer base for clubs at the college and High School level.
To do this requires funding of course and so we are seeking to secure funding for this position from a combination of sources
1. National College Young Life (up to 15k a year for the first year and 10k the second, 5k the third, etc)
2. Regional YL (Arizona and New Mexico) to match those funds
3. Raising the final necessary funds locally.
A job desciption has been approved and posted throughout the region and through the YL service center. I can provide you a copy upon request and I would urge you to share it with your pastor, youth pastor or others who might be good resources in the search for our next area director.
While this is and exciting process, it is also a bit daunting as we step into a new future and chapter in local YL ministry
If you are a donor, humbly ask that you continue with your generosity.
We also would humbly ask that you join us in prayer for this very important position - one that Las Cruces YL has not been able to afford before now.
In our world of uncertainty, need and violence, I know you agree that young people need to personally meet the Prince of Peace - JESUS.
