Another amazing Thanksgiving lunch at Sonoma! Thank you to our incredible Cafeteria staff for preparing a delicious meal for so many families. A huge appreciation to all of our volunteers, LCFD crew from Station 5, LCPS district personnel and Dr. Sanchez who helped serve over a thousand lunches today! ❤️ Team Sonoma!

Thursday, Nov 7 is our Thanksgiving Lunch. All K-2 parents are welcome! You must buy your tickets early. They are on sale now in the cafeteria. Tickets for parents and non-Sonoma students are $3.00 each. Tickets will NOT be sold on that day! 3-5th grade parents will be invited to eat at the Holiday December lunch! Below is the adjusted lunch times for Nov. 7. We are in need of servers. If you can help, please see Marianne Davis and receive a free lunch! 🦃 Also, the book fair will be open for you to shop!

🎥🎬MOVIE NIGHT THIS FRIDAY!

🏃🏽‍♀️Coach Miller has been on our minds and we miss her!
❤️To show her our support, we are sponsoring a Movie Night!
💦 Proceeds will be used to provide an outdoor water fountain for the kids to use during PE and recess!
**Note - All students must be accompanied by an adult

How you can help:
🍫We need donations of full-size candy bars and sodas
😎We need a few extra helpers Friday during the movie to help sell concessions

Dear Team Sonoma:
It is an honor to share the exciting news of being named a 2019 National Distinguished Principal. I was selected by the NM-NAESP organization and will be representing NM leaders and receiving the national award in Washington, DC in October.
I invite all of you to celebrate this prestigious honor with me at this Tuesday’s, September 17th school board meeting beginning at 6:00 pm at the LCPS district office. This recognition is a reflection of our entire Sonoma school community and all of the phenomenal opportunities we provide for our students! We have the most amazing Sonoma staff who work and collaborate alongside me, in order to provide a nurturing, caring, and engaging teaching and learning environment where students thrive and succeed! I am excited and honored to represent NM, LCPS, but most importantly Sonoma Elementary School! ❤️
