With a shattered heart I am sharing that our beloved Sheri has passed.
Sheri was a women full of determination who faced much adversity in her time here. It seems at every turn she was faced with another challenge, most of which she didn’t ask for. Despite all of the obstacles, she never gave up.
Beyond her rough exterior and foul mouth (my favorite attribute) Sheri had a heart of absolute GOLD. If you didn’t give her the chance to show you, you missed out. Even with little of her own, she always helped those in need around town. Even opening her home and property. She never asked for anything in return nor did she expect it. She didn’t boast, brag or share these instances because she truly loved helping others, even if it left her short personaly.
Her love for the beautiful Pit breed was a mirror of herself. A resilient, strong, powerful and courageous breed. She always said “you will hear me say MY pittie and that’s because they are all mine to care for”. She loved every dog in her rescue so deeply.
You are so loved sweet Sheri and are deeply missed by those that were blessed to truly know you.
For her followers, we are not sure what’s next at this point but I want to remind everyone 18 dogs still need homes. 18 dogs still need to be fed and cared for. I’m grateful Sheri gave me behind the scenes admin privileges (where I prefer to stay) to her page so I could have the honor of communicating with you all. I will post when her sister rescues, who supported her with so much love and compassion, ask me to.
At this time, please do not donate to any of the links. I’m not sure we have access to those accounts. We will ask for donations as needed for the dogs in the same transparency Sheri did once we have things settled.
Thank you all for supporting Sheri’s mission and cause. It meant the world to her. ❤️
