Oshkosh Earth Science Club GEOLOGY, ROCKS, MINERALS, LAPIDARY, FRIENDSHIPS WE MEET THE FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH AT EVERGREEN RETIREMENT COMMUNITY IN OSHKOSH.

WHEN AVAILABLE, WE PARTICIPATE IN FIELD COLLECTING AT VARIOUS SITES IN AND OUT OF WISCONSIN AND JOIN IN ON OTHER WISCONSIN CLUB FIELD TRIPS WHEN AVAILABLE.

Just to reminder to all that the OESC October meeting is Monday, October 5th, 6:30 at Evergreen. We will review the show, discuss election of new officers and perhaps have a few nominations for the Election of Officers at the November meeting. We don't have a planned activity for October, so how about everyone bring in their favorite acquisition from the OESC show or other source to show and tell about.

What a show! The Dealers were fantastic, the attendees were enthusiastic, the OESC club members were working hard, the portable planetarium was a big hit! I hope everyone found what they were looking for - and maybe somethings they didn't know they wanted! Now we get to work planning next year's show.

We had a great time at the Stevens Point rock swap today. The weather was perfect - a bit hot, but hey, it’s mid-August. In the shade with a nice breeze it was pleasant. Lots of familiar faces and eager shoppers!
