Due to the potential impact and uncertainty surrounding the approaching hurricane, SL Tarpons 9U tryouts have been moved up.

📅 NEW TRYOUT DATE: Monday, July 20
⏰ Time: 6:00 PM
📍 Location: Larose Turf

The tryout was originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd but has been rescheduled to help ensure everyone’s safety and avoid possible weather-related issues.

The next two weeks are your chance to earn the opportunity to represent our community with pride as a South Lafourche Tarpon!

We can’t wait to see each player come out, give their very best, and compete for a spot on one of our travel teams. Every hustle, every play, and every effort counts!

🔵⚪ Meet the Coach – SL Tarpons 11U Travel Team ⚪🔵

South Lafourche Youth Baseball is proud to introduce Coach Noe “N.J.” Saucillo Jr. as the head coach of our SL Tarpons 11U Travel Team!

Coach N.J. brings more than 16 years of coaching experience, with his journey beginning alongside his father while helping coach his younger brother’s teams. Having played baseball since he was old enough to pick up a ball, the game has always been a huge part of his life.

His passion goes far beyond wins and losses. Coach N.J. is dedicated to developing young athletes not only into better baseball players, but into respectful, hardworking young men who represent themselves, their families, and South Lafourche with pride.

Off the field, N.J. enjoys spending time golfing, fishing, and making memories with his son, Greyson Zeke Saucillo.

Coach N.J. shared:
“I’m excited to get to work and see what we can accomplish!”

South Lafourche Youth Baseball would like to recognize the SL Tarpons 8U – Young All-Star team on a tremendous 2026 season!

These young Tarpons finished the All-Star season with an impressive 14-10-1 record. Throughout the summer, they showed tremendous heart, grit, and determination every time they stepped onto the field. They never backed down from a challenge, continued to improve each weekend, and represented South Lafourche with pride.

South Lafourche Youth Baseball would like to recognize the SL Tarpons 10U – Curole All-Star team for an outstanding 2026 All-Star season!

These young Tarpons competed with heart, determination, and pride every time they stepped on the field, finishing the season with an overall record of 6-14-3. Their hard work and perseverance paid off with an impressive Runner-Up finish in the D Bracket at the 2026 USSSA All-Star World Series in Baton Rouge.

SL Tarpons 8U – Robert does it again! 🏆🐟

Another tournament, another championship for the SL Tarpons 8U – Robert team! These young ballplayers have been on an incredible run all season, improving their record to an outstanding 20-1.

Week after week, they continue to prove they’re a force to be reckoned with, playing with heart, determination, and the kind of teamwork that makes our community proud.

SL Tarpons 8U – Young continue to prove they belong among the best.

This weekend, these young Tarpons challenged themselves by stepping outside the All-Star circuit and entering Ballin’ in Nawlins USSSA AA travel baseball tournament. They didn’t just compete, they coming home CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Their determination, skill, and relentless fight have been on full display over the past several weekends, and this championship is another testament to the hard work these boys and their coaches have put in. Taking on talented travel ball teams and coming out on top shows just how special this group is.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families on another incredible accomplishment. The future is bright for these young Tarpons, and we can’t wait to watch all they continue to achieve.
