Today, organizations from across Lafourche Parish are standing together with one shared goal: providing opportunities for the children of our community.

While we may represent different sports, different teams, and different organizations, we all serve the same kids. We see firsthand the positive impact that recreation programs have on our youth through teamwork, discipline, confidence, leadership, and lifelong friendships.

The SL Tarpons 10U – Curole All-Star Team had a great weekend out on the field competing against some tough competition. The boys battled hard on Saturday, fighting through two competitive pool play games and earning ties in both matchups.

They came back on Sunday ready to compete and gave it everything they had. While they came up short, their effort, determination, and love for the game were on full display all weekend long.

This group continues to work hard, improve, and represent South Lafourche with pride. With a few weekends left in the All-Star season, they’re excited for more opportunities to take the field, showcase their talent, and do what they love most—play baseball.

Keep working hard, boys. We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds! ⚾️💙🐟

The SL Tarpons 11U Travel Team had an outstanding weekend on the diamond!

The boys came out strong in pool play on Saturday, earning a 6-2 victory in their first game and then shutting out their second opponent 7-0. Their hard work and determination secured them the #1 seed heading into bracket play on Sunday.

On Sunday, they faced a tough opponent in an intense battle that went two extra innings. After an incredible 2 hour and 30 minute game, the Tarpons came up just short of a championship game appearance, falling 11-10 in a hard-fought contest.

From rain delays on Saturday to blistering heat on Sunday, these young athletes showed grit, heart, and resilience every step of the way. They never quit, competed until the final out, and left everything they had on the field.

We are proud of the effort, sportsmanship, and determination this team continues to show every time they put on a Tarpons uniform.

Way to go, boys! Keep working hard, keep believing, and keep making South Lafourche proud! 🐟⚾️💪

⚾️🏆 Another incredible weekend for our South Lafourche Tarpons 8U All-Star teams! 🏆⚾️

For the second weekend in a row, both of our 8U teams battled their way through the tournament and met in the championship game, once again finishing 1st and 2nd overall!

Congratulations to SL Tarpons 8U – Young on an outstanding finalist finish. With 5 of their 12 players still only 7 years old, this team continues to prove just how much young talent we have here on the Bayou. The future is bright!

A huge congratulations as well to SL Tarpons 8U – Robert for bringing home another championship and continuing their impressive run on the All-Star circuit.

These young athletes, coaches, and families have represented South Lafourche with pride, determination, and sportsmanship all season long. Seeing two hometown teams competing for championships week after week is something our entire community can be proud of.

At this rate, we may need a bigger trophy case at the fields to hold all the hardware these kids keep bringing home! 🏆💙⚾

⚾️ Season Complete for the SL Tarpons 7U Travel Team! ⚾️

The South Lafourche Tarpons 7U Travel Team wrapped up their travel season this weekend with an impressive 2nd Place finish in the 2D New Orleans Summer Championship Tournament! 🏆🥈

These young ballplayers showed incredible heart, determination, and love for the game all weekend long, battling through 4 games back-to-back and earning a spot in the Championship Game. This marks the second straight tournament that this team has fought their way into the finals!

As the first-ever South Lafourche 7U Travel Team, these players, coaches, and families have represented our community with pride all season long. The growth, teamwork, and memories made this year have laid the foundation for something special.

We couldn’t be prouder of this group of young athletes and everything they accomplished during their inaugural season. Congratulations to our players, coaches, and families on a fantastic year!

The future is bright, and we are already looking forward to next season.

A special shoutout to our SL Tarpons 10U – Curole All-Star Team!

Unfortunately, no other All-Star teams signed up to compete this weekend, but these young men weren’t about to sit at home. Instead, they stepped up to the challenge and took on AA travel teams, eager for the opportunity to compete, learn, and show what South Lafourche Youth Baseball is all about.

The scoreboard may not have fallen their way this weekend, but don’t let that fool you. These players showed grit, determination, heart, and a true love for the game every time they took the field. They battled hard against tough competition and never backed down from the challenge.

Most importantly, they walked off the field with smiles on their faces, lessons learned, and memories made. That’s what All-Star baseball is all about.

We are incredibly proud of these players, coaches, and families for representing South Lafourche with class and character. Keep working, keep growing, and keep believing, the future is bright for this group!

What a weekend for South Lafourche Youth Baseball!

Our All-Star teams took on their first tournament of the season, and they represented our community with pride, heart, and determination. From the first pitch to the final out, these young athletes showed up and showed out.

With two 8U Tarpons teams competing, the tournament ended in the best way possible for South Lafourche, both of our teams battled their way to the Championship Game! Seeing our own players, coaches, and families fill both dugouts was something special.

Congratulations to SL Tarpons 8U – Robert on bringing home the Championship, and a huge congratulations to SL Tarpons 8U – Young for an outstanding tournament and finishing as Finalists.

We’re proud of every player who wore the Tarpons uniform this weekend. The future is bright for South Lafourche baseball, and we’re bringing home more bling and more trophies for the case at the fields!

We are also looking for a 7U head coach so we can continue to get our youngest teams playing ball and developing! Once a coach is secured for that age group, tryout info will be posted for 7U.

Please arrive early to warm up and bring all baseball gear, water, and a great attitude.
