Please be careful of the political opportunism that will surround this weeks SCOTUS decisions. Don’t let the politicians draw us away from the pre imminence of the Gospel. A quick reminder of how it works on both ends of the spectrum.

I see a lot of Christians crowing about the Supreme Court decision today on abortion. I just want to share two passages from Proverbs. Pray before you post. Sure, you will get all kind of likes from your friends, but what doors will you slam shut where God could have used you?

Proverbs 24:17-18 NASB95
[17] Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; [18] Or the LORD will see it and be displeased, And turn His anger away from him.

Proverbs 18:19 NASB95
[19] A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city, And contentions are like the bars of a citadel.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is move on. How you do that can determine if you succeed in the next chapter of your life or not. You want a clean separation and the ability to focus on the future unencumbered by the past. This video from acroTyms will give you some great ways to separate from the old and embrace the new in a professional and healthy way.

Sooner or later everything comes to an end. Sometimes by choice and sometimes it's forced on you. When the time comes, walk away a winner! This is another gr...

This is a 9 minute children's message I did for my grandkids today and I thought I would share it with you. It's a good reminder for all of us. Blessings.

A very difffernt view of 2020 for you to consider tonight and tomorrow.

As difficult as 2020 was, the truth of Romans 8 was proven as none of the year’s challenges separated us from the love of God.

Many are saying good riddens to 2020, but I don’t think that is how God wants His children to end the year. He says in all things give thanks.

I am thankful for all the people I love that didn’t contract the virus this year. I am thankful those I know that did get it recovered

I am thankful for another year of enjoying my kids and grandkids and seeing how God used them to bring joy to our lives.

I am thankful that in spite of the fiery arrows of Satan, our church still stands and has a core group of precious and faithful believers who have not given up hope on God’s purpose for us.

I don’t think we are ready for next year until we can bend our knees in thanksgiving and praise to our Father in Heaven for the previous one. He did not have to give us even that one much less the next one.

If we lose our deep thankfulness for each day, even in trials, we cannot face tomorrow. He is to be glorified as he accomplishes His will in this world. Praise His name.

I challenge you to share what you are deeply thankful for. This is not a time to try and be funny and say you are thankful 2020 is over. Dig deep and confess your thankfulness for one or more of the loving gift your Father in Heaven gave you this last year.

Then, you’ll be ready for His will in 2021.

In these uncertain times, Christians wonder how long it will be before we face real persecution. Some believe it has already started.

God’s Word tells us to rejoice when we are persecuted. That seems like a tall order for many. Join us this Sunday at Generations Bible Church as we learn how to truly rejoice.

In the message, you’ll learn:
- Why Christians suffer persecution
- Your best defense when others insult and tell lies about you
- How you can rejoice even when others attack your faith
- What R.E.J.O.I.C.E. stands for

The sermon will live stream on Facebook at 9:55 Sunday morning. The church page is at: https://www.facebook.com/Generations-Bible-Church-512438282472519

You can decide how much stress the election causes you today. Read on ...

Today, I choose not to allow myself to be manipulated, coerced, lied to, misled, toyed with, or used for the amusement of politicians and the profits of news agencies and websites that have no control over the outcome of today’s elections. Today I will turn them all off.

In stark contrast, my God cares deeply for me and has sent His Son to purchase my pardon from sin and redeem me so that I am a citizen of heaven and not this world. He nourishes, refreshes, comforts, and restores my soul.

My God already knows who wins this election because no person ever rises to a position of power without Him allowing it. I will trust in His sovereignty today.

Therefore, rather than groveling and fretting at the altar of this world via TV, Internet, and radio, I will spend this day in the presence and worship of my Father. I will not allow the world to disrupt my spirit when I can choose to spend the day with my Father.

I will turn off and avoid all media and stressors of the world today. Why would I wallow in their hand wringing and prognosticating when I can spend the day with the Creator of the Universe - my Father? He knows all things and is accomplishing His purposes in this world and our nation.

I will find out who my Father has chosen to lead our nation TOMORROW. Today, I am shutting this world and its worries out. This day, I prefer to be with God.

Won’t you join me?

Turn it off and spend the day in prayer, worship, and adoration of the One who rules above the heavens and earth. Live in His peace today, not the world’s angst.

Instead of joining the world in its despair today, let the saints' thanksgiving and praises be a sweet aroma in the Throne-room of Grace today.

Copy, share, and join me. Believers need to be set free today from the drama of this mess. We are never defeated. We are the victors through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Let’s act like it starting today.

Now is a very difficult time for Christians and many are not sure how to react to the rules and orders being passed down by our governing authorities. It has become contentious for many churches and Christians are at odds. There are some outspoken Christians calling for all Christians to stand up and defy our governing authorities. Pastor Tim shares his heart on this very important and divisive matter.
