Last night I stood in front of the Rotary Satellite Club of Seminole Lake and talked about something most people don't talk about at dinner tables — or Rotary meetings.

Abuse. Recognition. The denial and the gap between knowing help exists and actually being able to reach it.

I shared my story. I shared our mission. I shared what IgniteHer is doing right here in Pinellas County — for survivors, for children, and for pets who are part of this too.

And this room showed up.

Nearly 9 domestic violence incidents are reported in Pinellas County every single day. Most go unreported. 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year — and 90% of them witness it directly.

Those aren't just statistics. They're our neighbors. Our coworkers. Our community.

Thank you to the Rotary Satellite Club of Seminole Lake for welcoming IgniteHer and for caring enough to have this conversation. This is exactly how change happens — one room at a time. 💜
