On this Juneteenth, the Mitchellville-Bowie Section of NCNW pauses to honor the resilience, unyielding faith, and strength of those who came before us. June 19th, 1865, marked a pivotal moment in history but the journey to true liberation and equality continues.

Today, we look back with deep gratitude because our ancestors survived and fought through the unimaginable so we could uplift our community, protect our legacy, and push forward together❤️🤍💙.

We don’t just carry their names; we carry their torch!

Who says Christmas only comes once a year?🪴🪏

This past Saturday, April 26th, our sisters rolled up their sleeves for Christmas In April. We spent the day gardening, painting a closed-in porch, and beautifying a local homeowner’s front yard!

There is nothing quite like the power of Black women coming together to lift up our community. From the first brushstroke to the last flower planted, it was a day filled with love and sisterly bonding.🌷

Our Mitchellville-Bowie Section had an incredible time at our quarterly book club meeting yesterday! We dove deep into “Love Gone Right” and were so honored to have the talented author, , join us for the discussion.

There’s nothing like fellowship and a great book to recharge the soul🙌🏽.
