Largo Central Railroad First full weekend for public run (some exceptions) & party rentals available. Party rental is $175 for one hour. We operate the first full weekend of the month.

We do not charge for public run, but we accept donations to keep the trains running. Donations: http://PayPal.com/ncp/payment/B3QDWM8DVU4 Largo Central Railroad has been providing rides in Largo Central Park since 1991... before LCP was officially a park! The check in line closes 15 minutes before we end. First Saturday of the month: 10 AM - 4 PM (close at 3 PM in December)
Sunday (after the first Saturday): 10 AM - 1 PM

While we do not charge for rides, we do take donations. You may provide a cash donation in one of our boxes, or you can donate using your credit card when you check in online for your ride. We are a non-profit organization, it's because of your generous donations that we are able to continue operations. We're always looking for volunteers. Membership can be done for an individual, or families. We do allow Junior Members (under 18), but they must be part of a family membership. Volunteers help maintain all equipment, including engines and riding cars (perform inspections, do oil changes, change out trucks, and more), assist in building new track panels, replace and maintain track and ties, including switches, frogs, and any other items that are needed to help ensure our tracks are safe and maintained. We’re wrapping up another incredible year at the Largo Central Railroad, and we’re making our FINAL backstage tour of the year one you won’t want to miss!

Fantastic hidden gem in Pinellas Park. We loved our visit to Zitnik Trains! A must visit for families and train enthusiasts. I read that the owners have been known to spend hours helping families select tracks, trains, and accessories to build their first railroad.

Who knows Zitnik Trains or knows someone who would enjoy? I’m sure their family would love to show you around!

Zitnik Trains next swap meet is on Sunday, 11/1/2026 from 9am-1pm. Fun for the whole family with free admission and free parking. Collectors gather to buy, sell, trade, and share their love of model railroading. Model trains and accessories for sale.All gauges, from N to G.

For the readers…

Yes, Pinellas Park has a model train store with thousands of trains and accessories. 🚂 Including some nearly 100 years old!

Husband-and-wife team Dave and Gale Zitnik have been running the business since 2015, turning Dave’s childhood passion for model trains into a destination for hobbyists from across Tampa Bay.

A few fun facts…

🚂 Vintage trains from as far back as the 1930s. You’ll find everything from collectible classics to modern electric trains.

🚂 Over 10,000 spare parts. In addition to selling trains, they fix them. I read that Zitnik Trains is the last authorized Lionel repair center per a 2023 news report.

🚂 Tiny trains, BIG trains! They carry multiple scales, from miniature N-scale trains to much larger G-scale models.

Something new is gobbling its way onto the rails at the Largo Central Railroad!

Join us this November as our Public Run gets a fall makeover for the first-ever 🦃 TURKEY TROT EXPRESS! 🦃

Enjoy free train rides through Largo Central Park surrounded by a little fall fun—and keep your eyes open! 👀 We hear some feathered friends may have found their way onto the railroad. How many turkeys can YOU spot along the route?

But this November Public Run will also mark a very special moment in LCRR history. 💙💛

🚂 ONE LAST RUN FOR F7 NO. 4011

Our club’s original locomotive, F7 No. 4011, will take to the rails one final time before heading off for a major overhaul and a fresh new paint job.

And we couldn’t have picked a more meaningful occasion.

35 years ago, our railroad held its very first run—and this November, on the anniversary of that first run, No. 4011 will once again lead trains around Largo Central Park.

It’s a chance to celebrate where LCRR started, enjoy a piece of our history while you still can, and send 4011 off in style before the next chapter of her story begins.

Did you miss the Largo Central Railroad Halloween Spooktacular this weekend? Or did you come out, have a blast, and decide you need even MORE Halloween train fun? 🎃🚂

While our Halloween season at LCRR has come to an end, our friends at our sister railroad, Grand Concourse Railroad, are just getting started!

Their Halloween 2026 season kicks off with regular nights October 9–10, followed by October 16–17 and October 23–24.
