If you have a success story of being a survivor to domestic violence, abuse or substance abuse and dont mind sharing please post on this page .Trying to spread the hope to all.No one deserves to feel less than.It is better to be alone until you find the right person because the feelimg of loneliness causes many people to go back to the abuse because that is what they know , even if they believe they deserve better.Afraid of change. Dont bee afraid your not alone ! Don't feel discouraged it takes time to heal from the past and when you do now you are left with behaviors that need to be changed and people in your life who will be patient, kind and loving
people who love you, people who are happy for your successes and when you do fail they are right still,even more to love you. Never ever be convinced you cannot report your abuser that's what they want you to think, they wamt you to live in fear! Not this girl not anymore! By the grace of ive been away from my abuser for almost 2years now and i hear alot of people say they found the love of their life after the abuse well that might be true! I did! What's important is that i was not looking as matter of fact i did not even want a relationship but so so glad my love crossed my path because he is a blessing in my life .As far as the love formyself man or no man I love myself I believe in myself, I. Am WoRTH It. Im not trying to be better than you. Just trying to be better than i was yesterday always growing never looking back But givimg the past its respect amd never ever forgetting it for some that may be suitable but for addicts it is not

They go hamd in hand for me.As far as my past abuser ive forgiven because my soul needed to be set free so I could build a new me.But I've never gone back under no circumstances!!! Because in the beginning when we make the change to leave we might find reason to go back if they did ask for forgiveness,but life is not meant to be toyed with amd i cannot risk being possibly killed.Not today amd not ever! Hope all the father's out there are having a great day .I was thinking about what major influence a father has on their child its not just the mother.How a father treats their child is the beginning of how we start feeling about ourself early on in life.If you did not have a positive upbringing by your parents ,remember your past does not determine your future.If you were treated badly as a child you have the power to break the cycle and create the positive influence in your family.We don't have to hold onto pain or trauma from our past .Il never be neieve and say just forget about the past because for this survivor/addict it's important for me to remember where I have been so I can learn from my mistakes,see what future situations I can possibly avoid that would threaten my growth ,and to reflect on how much growth I have done when I'm having bad days of feeling like I'm not doing enough or a failure.This is when I like to remember my past because then I can clearly see I'm not making as bad of choices ,feelings of self hatred toward myself and the worst of all not feeling like there is anything to be grateful for.Ive learned through personal experience and as a nurse no matter how bad you feel you have it there is someone out their going through much worse.Their are babies born with deadly diseases who did not ask for what they have.So whatever your situation if your in a current state of depression feeling alone and do not have any positive support to talk to remember you can create it! Meet new people at a meeting,church, charity organization event,volunteer for a good cause .The most therapeutic tool I have found for developing a life living in gratitude even if things aren't perfect is to get outside of myself.Helping another person can be as small as making coffee at a meeting,opening the door for someone greeting them with a smile and welcoming them.That might be the only smile they have seen in awhile.If you have the resources to do more such as buy someone a meal who is in need ,donate some of your clothes and belongings to charity ,recovery homes and churches do so.There is truly a magic in giving no matter how big or small. Whenever I've given anything in life it has came back tome 10 fold. Today I have been blessed to have a carrier where not only I serve others with my time ,love and compassion but I have the ability to save a life with my skills and knowledge. If I lived like I used to I would of never pursued my dream staying in fear of not being good enough.Not only did I complete school I was a prime leader of my nursing school. God used a person who normally peecrastinates,only does the bare minimum ,low self esteem and made me find the power in myself to over achieve not for myself but to help another individual live their best potential healthy life.While giving them encouragement and strength so that they may find the power inside themself to heal.I am truly blessed. I don't have everything I want and I'm still not exactly in my picture perfect situation in life but I'm alot closer to it than I was before! I couldn't even imagine being in a abusive relationship like I once was and being convinced I was dumb and worthless.Even thinking about it now makes me laugh !imagine that a situation that once led me to self destructive behavior s makes me laugh and I would say your negativity dude is not my problem and leave. Never be afraid to walk away from anything that pulls u down.In here to tell you ,life gets better you can be happy all by starting off by relazimg what you have to be greatful for .I hope this post helps someone .Please if you are still depressed ,still struggling,still being abused know you are not alone nor do you have to do it alone .I have info on local shelters,halfway houses ,and facilities for the tampa bay area msg me and I'd be glad to give it to you.Godbless

Please share my page and get the love and support spreaded around! I haven't wrote on here in a minute we all get busy with life,then something occured to remind me where I came from today.Someone I know a beautiful woman ,who looks absolutely stunning, has been through addiction , struggles and despair who has made it by chosing to live a different positive way of life calls me and I get the chills running down my spine because I hear the desperation and hurt in her voice .I hear the her tell me how she was hit by her boyfriend and I asked her did you report him to the police and she says I can't ! Why? Because I defended myself back!
My heart broke but today I was the survivor ,the supporter not the victim and I chose to be just for today ,because today is all we have and today I am not a victim.I encouraged her she can call the police or have someone who will.The abuser wants us to think we have no other choice but to stay with them and trick ourself into thinking we are helpless ,hopeless,maybe financial ly stuck without them or naybe there are kids are involved? I reminded her she doesnt have to stay stuck and that she is a beautiful strong woman who was supporting herself without him before and she is capable of doing it until the right person comes along!Im grateful for the love and support I got from a few close people who loved me family and friends .Even if you don't this is the reason I developed this page to boost each other up and show love and support to each other because I remember when I was in those past situations hearing a kind word from someone who wanted me to do better not just that knew my strength and stood by me until I got it on my own meant everything.Lets take a moment and pray , or send a positive thought to my friend who is working herway hopefully out of this abusive lifestyle and she is notbharmed anymore and refuses to go back .If you know anyone who is being abused if you can report it if they are in possible danger ,never be afraid of doing right by the abuser, say encouraging words to your friend who is being abused and be positive giving them encouragement that they are worth it to change ,don't nag them or critize them they already get that enough by the abuser.If you are the one who is in an abusive relationship let someone know just once person you trust where your location is .This way if you need someone to find you or report something for you privately without you doing so .There are local shelters that if need be will help you,online support groups and pagesto talk about what your going through .Your not alone you can do it .Peace and Love everyone have a safe night tonight.
