Meet the newest Fostering Hearts FL GED graduates!! 🎓 We're so proud of all the hard work, determination, and commitment these incredible young adults showed in pursuing their education goals—and a special shoutout to all the graduate moms at Family HOPE Center at Ready for Life!

A GED opens so many doors to higher education and vocational training as well as more gainful employment and better career opportunities, helping young adults reach self-sufficiency and independence, and strengthening families for generations to come. 🩵

Last week’s Family & Friends Friday event was one for the books! 🇺🇸 We welcomed several local group homes for an afternoon full of connection, community, and, most importantly, fun! Attendees enjoyed a cookout with grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, shaved ice from the Kona Ice truck, and connected with some of our wonderful community partners, including CareerSource Tampa Bay and A Griot's Corner.

We also celebrated a very special moment with the installation of the Freedom Shrine, generously provided by the Harbor Exchange Club. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so meaningful!

A huge thank you to the incredible letter carriers, volunteers, donors, and everyone involved in last weekend's USPS Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive! 🥫

Ready for Life is so grateful to be one of the recipients of the donations collected through this amazing community effort. These food and pantry items help ensure former foster young adults and young families who come through our doors have access to essentials during times of need.

A special thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who helped gather, sort, organize, and unload donations throughout the day. Your time and hard work helped turn an incredible community effort into direct support for the young adults and families we serve.

The generosity of our community continues to remind us that even small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact!

What an incredible afternoon at Ready for Life’s 17th Annual Changing Lives Luncheon! More than 240 community members, partners, volunteers, and supporters came together to celebrate transformation, resilience, and the power of believing in young adults as they build independent futures.

One of the most moving moments of the event was hearing directly from the former foster young adults we serve. Through a powerful mirror presentation, they reflected on the statistics, barriers, and experiences they have faced, while mentors and supporters symbolically erased those labels to represent hope, growth, and transformation. It was a beautiful reminder that no young adult should be defined by their past or circumstances.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, sponsored, volunteered, and continues to stand beside Ready for Life as we work to transform resilience into independence. Together, we are changing lives beyond foster care!

What a Saturday at the Suncoast Kingfish Classic!! 🎣

Congratulations to all of the winners! And a huge thank you to every single volunteer who made the day run so smoothly, including the Harbor Exchange Club dock crew for keeping things moving on the water all day long!

We couldn’t do this without our community. Thank you for showing up and supporting our mission in such a big way. We can't wait for July for the Suncoast Ladies’ Classic!
