⚖️ More than 200 critical incident cases and more than 20 years serving law enforcement.

⚖️ Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator, FINRA Arbitrator, and Parent Coordinator.

Nick Fiorentino was honored with the 2026 Cozzi Creed Award by the St. Petersburg Bar Association.

The award is named for Steve Cozzi, an attorney who was tragically killed in 2023 for just doing his job. It is presented each year to an attorney who demonstrates a commitment not only to the legal profession, but also to serving the community.

The award reflects the values Steve Cozzi believed lawyers should carry with them throughout their careers: using their legal education to help others, being a voice for the voiceless, and being a force for good in the community.

Steve’s words:

“So, this is my charge: remember you are lawyers second and humans first.

I charge us to use our legal education to be a voice for the voiceless and to be a force of good in the community. It’s going to be very easy to get lost in the rat race, the desire to get ahead, to bill the hours, buy the car, buy the house. So, take a moment and remember why you came to law school and what kind of lawyer you want to be. Get a picture of the lawyer you want to be. And when you’ve got that picture, keep it in your heart.

I charge us to remember that we were put on this Earth to do for others and let others do for us”
